When you look up "Unreasonably Biased" in the dictionary you see a picture of (kid)  ;D

Snakehandler/Hug,

My son says I am the most biased fan he has ever seen; not just Bridgewater, but Packers, South High, Jr. League, doesn't matter according to him.

I say fan is short for fanatic.  If he don't like it, he can move out and pay his own bills.

Spoken like a true father of a 22 year old still living at home.
;D

A Viking fan would have kicked him out a long time ago to make him a real man!!  ;D ;D

Pak - you get a +1 just so I don't jinx myself....in 4 years I'll be on this board talking about my 22 yr old son still living at home!

Re : QB discussion. Lutz was one of the best that Mount Union has played against,,a good combo of passing and option running,,and he was a physical player when he ran the ball,,he would have been a great linebacker,,or strong safety too .

Yeah, sort of like a Root Canal theme park.  :)

+ 1 for dealing with the auditors and then going to teach a class of folks that some day might "congraduate" or is that "Gratuate"?  :P

C'mon CNWho, your Vikings were real men when Bud Grant was there, but since they built that Wussdome, how can you claim they are real men?  Real men don't play football IN the house.  Get a new outdoor stadium and play in MN in December.  Now THAT would be a home field advantage.  I would also like to see how happy that Jeremiah Johnson-looking goober would be when the temps got below zero.

Lutz, Ricca and Vogelbach were/are great d-3 quarterbacks...the current BC qb is good, but not great.

C'mon guys.  Today is a deadline day and I am supposed to be working.  I will respond to several posts "Kmack" style.

First up is willierobin.  I agree with your assessment.  Lutz, Ricca and Vogelbach = great D3QBs, Highfill = good D3QB to this point.

Ahh, but see, I'm of the opinion that Vogelbach is not one of the great ODAC quarterbacks (yet), not that Highfill is one of them (yet).

In my mind, Lutz and Ricca stand alone.  They put up great numbers and were winners.

OK Kid,

I hope Vogelbach doesn't prove he's a winner against our Eagles.  Can he prove his greatness against Hampden-Sydney or Washington and Lee instead?

Anyway, I still agree with 'Nova's and Trenches' points of view.  If I understand their point, it is that Vogelbach has done more to improve Guilford's football status than Jeff has to improve Bridgewater's.  BTW, I think Highfill had one of his best games on Saturday.  His accuracy has improved each game since McDaniel.  And remember, I reserved my right to change my opinion, especially after October 13, and also after the end of the season.

:)

AMEN!!!! Couldn't agree more. I used to love December playoff games and the Rams (as in Los Angeles) would come up to the Met and freeze to death!!! Those were football games. And the teams were on the same side of the field! Billicheck would love that!!

ace,

3 A.M. sounds plenty early.  Although Kid doesn't believe it, there'll be a ton of people there for the home opener.  I've heard that with all the construction on campus space is limited on the tailgaiting field.  Other options exist right outside the back gate along the train tracks and across from the stadium at Martin-Brock.  You can find a campus map online that points out all the places that'll give you options.

Now for the Bridgewater/Guilford debate,

Given a choice between Highfill/Vogelbach, I'll take Todd Woods everytime.  If we'd been able to give him more protection and had played in a more stable system our sophomore/junior years he would've put up numbers that nobody would ever touch.  I can say Todd personified everything you wanted in a QB in the huddle.  Let's also not forget EHC just happenend to beat both BC and Guilford last year with 4th quarter drives.  Not to mention the one against NC Wesleyan that preceeded both of those.  And can anybody forget the frosh QB that had enough moxy to stand toe to toe with JD Ricca in a shootout in which both quarterbacks broke the single game passing yardage record?

Thanks.  Mondays are long days for me.  :)  Most of them will probably graduate, but not until they learn the difference between a student t test and a student keg party!  lol

'Nova, my GM muscle-car owner friend, I gave you a karma point for starting a good discussion, even if it did get more heated than you intended.  As far as the four smites go, Coach Clark gave every BC poster a special code that automatically smites anyone who posts comparisons which favor any other team or player over BC or any of our players.  We didn't mean (har har) to smite you, it was just our BC software zapping you.  Don't take it personally.

We also have secret software that will drive your car to Bridgewater on October 13, so if you ever want to see the old Nova, you had better be in it when autodrive kicks in.   :)  Don't wuss out on us just because of karma points.
Hey, good to know.  Not wussing out ... I have a job .... does anyone else?  lol  DOD auditors were here today plus I teach a class at NC A&T University from 6-9 every Monday night, so don't expect too much more today.  :)  I'm definitely planning to be at BC on Oct. 13, but life is always busy, especially in the fall.  Llama and the other BC fans were great at GC last October, so I'd sure like to see your place as well (never been on campus).  Not wanting to get ahead of ourselves, but we know both teams will at least also enter the game with winning records, so there will be a lot on the line.  It should be fun!

I won't pressure you Hasa as I know family ALWAYS comes first! If you do decide to come our way, PM me as I have a little peace offering that might make the trip a little easier, especially if you bring your fine female football friend.  ;)

Thanks, Bo.  I'll do my best!  I have a game planned every weekend, I think.  Let's see 9/1 UCF @ NCSU, 9/8 GC @ MU, 9/15 AU @ GC, 9/15 HSC @ GC, 9/29 GCQ @ GCP, 10/6 Carson-Newman @ Mars Hill, 10/13 GC @ BC, 10/20 W&L @ GC, 10/27 RMC @ GC, 11/3 ? not sure if I'll travel to GC @ CUA, 11/10 E&H @ GC, 11/17 UT-Chattanooga @ App State.  Busy?  Yeah, I think so!  lol  No peace offering needed, my friend, but looking forward to seeing everyone and a spirited football game.  I think I might be able to talk my friend into making the trip - she's a real football fan and a trooper.  :)
