It was 15-14 at the half, then Macon turned it up, and shut it down.  Varner was impressive in the 1st half, not so much in the 2nd.

craapp. I knew I should have went with my gut. From now on I will with these damn pick'ems. Nice job RMC.

Bwana

OK...

Congrats to HSC and RMC...and I am not going to hold against  you the fact that my pick'ems are now completely fubar'd for the year.

For those who hold out hope until the last ditch (I mean, was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?), what are the ODAC tiebreak rules again?  Head to head, and then is it something like the team that has been out of the NCAA playoffs for the longest time?
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!

Leave Bwana alone, he's on a roll.   ;D

Congrats to the Tigers as well.  Marty gets the monkey off the back. ;)

Huge congrats to Coach Favret and the H-SC Tigers!  That was one of the more exciting, emotional roller coasters I've been on in awhile (yep, more so than last year's GC/BC game).

What a heck of a game they played today.  They were flat out the best team on the field - no excuses from this BC fan!  Bridgewater had their chances, H-SC just stopped them.

I never like to lose, but when a team beats you fair and square, all you can do is tip your hat.

I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the season.  W&L losing to R-MC, Catholic beating F&M, and E&H only scoring 13 against Methodist?  Phew, it's going to be quite a ride the rest of the way!

Good luck to the Quakers tonight.  With a win, I think that'll make us 21-3 against out-of-conference opponents.

Congratulations to all the ODAC winners. Congratulations to CUA on a great comeback.  3 TDS in 11:00 minutes after being down 27-7....wow!

Anybody else think there might be some parity in the ODAC this year?  ;D

After listening to the Emory game on the radio I think I might be able to explain the Waspers statistical output today.  Although it wasn't what we're accustomed to thus far this year,  it seems that Coach Monty is sticking to his run first philosophy - even when Methodist was stacking 8 and 9 in the box.  That's what I believe contributed to the shortest first quarter in my memory (27 minutes from first to last whistle).  I'll give it to the Monarchs though, it seemed like they were really bringing some heat against the Emory offense.  It probably didn't help that James Hairston went down to injury.  No word yet on what happened or when he'll be back.  The Wasps' D also suffered an injury to Chris Wade, but if I know him, he'll be ready to play tomorrow morning.  Although the Three-Headed Monster (what the color guys on the radio are calling Gilliespe, Ringstaff, and Moore) was slowed down, they still weren't stopped.  Congrats on improving to 3-1 men.  Now its time to carry the intensity over and to pick up conference victories.

C'mon, let's goooooooooooo.

Second greatest movie of all-time.  Only Basic Instinct is better.

'Nova better watch out for Oct. 13.  This fat guy is bringing 10,000 marbles to Stone Station.  Skoaltrain, are you bringing your 7 iron?
Snakehandler, you put blanks in your gun, right?

Geesh,

I leave you guys alone without me and you blow it!  I thought the Station crew could hold on to a late 3rd quarter lead, but I guess you needed me in the fourth quarter.  Sorry I let the team down.  I won't miss another game this year.  Home or away.  I promise. :(

Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these ba$#*ds. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

I feel your pain Bwana- I got RMC right (what water are they mixing with the Kool-Aid at the YJC tent Jacketlawyer?), but I went down in flames on the other picks....

...The simple fact is, Bwana, you feel responsible for Goose and you have a confidence problem with your picks. Now I'm not gonna sit here and blow sunshine up your butt, Lieutenant. A good pilot is compelled to evaluate what's happened, so he can apply what he's learned. Up there, we gotta push it. That's our job. It's your option Lieutenant. All yours.  ;)
