Trust me, you don't want to be a Wasp for practice this afternoon.  If there is one thing that Monty hates more than losing, it's losing close.  Although a win isn't guaranteed (obviously), the Waspers will be thoroughly prepared to say the least.  Expect a physical chess match that will probably come down to who has the ball last.  After BC stepped it up last week, this one is too close to call right now.

Kid,

Regarding the attendance:

1) R-MC was on fall break, and students who are not athletes are not allowed to remain on campus.  Therefore, many students were not there as R-MC is definitely not a commuter school.

2) There was no one at the gate collecting tickets, counting, etc.  Normally you will see the baseball team collecting tickets or checking the pass list.  This is what the attendance is based on.  People that don't have or need tickets (students, old alumni) are not counted.  However, they count all of the pass list (I believe), so that could inflate the numbers, but by how much a swing (positive or negative) is, I cannot say.

3) There were more than 450 people there.  Maybe 800 or so.  Definitely not a large turnout, but more than enough.  Wait until the H-SC game; that will quite possibly be 10k plus with the tailgating area (which is not counted towards the attendance), and since you don't have to go into the stadium or past the ticket counters to watch the game, there may be less.

So I'm betting the Tigers will defeat Macon in Ashland and the Eagles will defeat the Wasps, giving the Tigers the ODAC championship and the Eagles the at-large bid.   But I'm putting no money on this ....  :D

Hmmmm.  Let's see BC beat the Waspers first.  E&H plays defense, and it's in Emory, where bad things happen.  Happy Halloween. ;D

Jacket.....you are probably wiser than I. Just trying liven up the board on a Monday!!  ;D Remember, I also picked the Tigers to beat E&H so Eagle fans may not want my endorsement.  :D

You got that right Allsky!  ;D This BC fan knows that either team can win in Emory just like it was in Farmville this year. A 76 pt outpouring at home may open opponents eyes but the BC faithful know the first quarter was a little shaky. Three quick turnovers took care of that and BC started playing with confidence for the first time in a while. If BC stays with the game plan of Highfill looking at the first option then pulling it down and running we have a shot. If he plays the drop back and wait for the 4th option to open up it will be like HSC this year. I will go into Emory hoping for a win but know whole heartedly it will be a well earned one if we get it!  ;)

He posted that picture, because Friday night, we were actually witness to a goat being tied up to a truck on the other side of a house where Stone Station was. We heard it crying all night.

Saturday morning it looked like this...

We learned that a couple students purchased the goat and then butchered it that morning.

Mmmmm, delicious.

New poll. I'm interested in seeing what people think about R-MC.

I must say they one uped Stone Station on that one. I have never brought the meat to the tailgate literally "on the hoof". And personally I don't ever plan to! There is something about looking something in the eye and then eating it 12 hours later that I can't do, but I have never been on survivor either.  ;)

Someone should ask Religion Major if those students were studying the Old Testament :D

Well kid...personally I wouldn't send MY kid there. If they insisted on going, I would cut them out of the will and give it to their wiser sibling. I can't really fathom why anyone would want to go there in the first place. I mean come on...they have a freakin railroad track running through the middle of their campus for Pete's sake!! Who's bright idea was that? OHHHHHHH...you mean the R-M football team!!  :D :D :D
Seriously, the Jackets have stolen the thunder for the surprise team of the year in the ODAC. I picked E&H for that spot. Course, the Wasp may still win the title and prove a big surprise but the Jackets certainly get the nod at this point. Hopefully, the Tigers will steal everyones thunder and win the title themselves.  ;)

e h dad

The 458 attendence count for the E&H vs RMC was probably somewhat correct.
That was just the count for pospects in attendence that want to play at E&H next
season. Ii was just an oversight not reporting the other 5000 fans that were at the game.(lol)

Your turn, Kid I can't wait to hear your response.

Peace,
E&H Dad

Snake, I heard Llama tastes like chicken.  You know where we can get one of them for this weekend?

AAHHH...I can see the Stone Station spread in a couple of weeks: "Snake 'n Bake" Llama served with a side of Skoal sauce...
