Those Methodist schools (R-M included) are trying to take all the fun out of tailgating!! ;D
Funny you mention tailgating.

Very good article.  It illustrates why I don't take my nieces and nephews to Redskins games anymore. >:(  I'm not trying to pass judgment; I've certainly been a rowdy tailgater before.  But the NFL stuff just goes to an entirely new level.

I was extremely comfortable having them around at the R-M tailgates two weeks ago.  Night and Day difference. 8)

I like to party and have a good time as much as anyone. Hell...back in my prime I could probably even keep up with Skoal!!  :D  One thing I have never understood is these fans that go on a rampage. Win...lose...or draw, it doesn't seem to matter. Hey lets go set some cars on fire and celebrate. Yeah...that would be a great way to cap off an ODAC title and a W over the Jackets!  ;)

nice story in ATR about Stone Station.  Looking forward to seeing it first hand Saturday.

The gravel lot on the tailgate field will probably be open if you get there by 7 am Saturday.

Don't expect the spread we had at Homecoming, as reported in the ATR story. But the same great BC fans will be in attendance, so come on by. Just look for the Stone Station and Bridgewater football flags in the air.

Llama and I will be there around 9-9:30. Not sure about the rest of the Stone Station crew, but I'm sure they'll be close behind (or before) us.

Not looking for any spread just want to meet you guys again and share a drink.  Met some of you last year at Bridgewater.

Thanks for all you do for DIII football.

Not sure how much impact it'll have, but RMC's game with Guilford is in Greenboro.  In fact, it's homecoming for the Quakers.  That fact is not reflected in the current poll.  The Jackets are off to a phenomenal start, but, in my opinion, they have a very tough row to hoe at GC, at BC and, of course, The Game.

Shoot, I went by what D3football.com had on their schedule:

I didn't think they could make such a mistake. ;)

By the time Pat sees this, I'm sure it'll be corrected. So here's the proof I wasn't crazy:

Wow, I'll have to leave at 2:00 a.m. to get a prime spot ;D ;D ;D

Any word on the weather for Saturday?  Last time down in '05, it was raining sideways

should be in the low 70's with very little chance of rain.

The reason I said probably is that a lot of people leave a vehicle on the field Friday night so that they have their favorite tailgate spot for Saturday morning.  If you are there by 7(or 10 for that matter) you will definitely find a spot to tailgate.

Perhaps more important than where and what might be the who.....is #16 for GC healthy?  Gonna start?  Play?

Thanks for the info.  Sounds like ideal football weather.

I don't know.  I haven't heard anything.  I hope he'll recover from his injury and the BC game.

Here is a update on Shenandoah wanting to join the ODAC.

http://www.su.edu/pr/publications/sun/Oct17.pdf

At one point in the article the SU President says" "So before they're willing to talk about any changes in the ODAC, they want to hear the resolution of the NCAA Division III proposal," said Davis. "This could cause some members of the ODAC to leave."

The resolution he refers to is on the matter of expanding DIII.  The tone of the article suggests a wide variety of options are in play, including creating a DIV, splitting private and public DIII, and others.

What members of the ODAC would want to leave and why?  I guess I could see E&H leaving if they had  conference opponents closer to home (or if Montgomery got them in the OAC), but what others?
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!
