I am kinda sorry about my rant IRT offcials.

But it was a relief valve. They make me so damn mad.

Well anyway fellow posters I am off for train up at Camp Lejuene NC for follow on service to IRAQ. I will be out of the net until about the end of NOV. Then I will give the skinny on D10 Iraqi football leagues. No one has explained the use of a frag as a ball to play with but they will learn. ;)

It will hurt this former Ranger to have to live with Marines but hey...it's the only war we got.

If I am not bumped off too quick I will give you the low down. Keep the faith.

Go safely.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers!!

Guys, Just a few thoughts about two of our friends on the Board who are on active duty in the U.S. military.  They are FMFDOC on active duty in Iceland and ABNRGR. Both of these men have gone on active duty from civilian jobs into harm's way for all of us. To put a few things in perspective, we banter on an almost daily basis about who has the best team in the ODAC, better offense or defense, and even trivialities such as attendance. Speaking matter of factly, this really doesn't mean Jack. Think about the sacrifices that they are making for all of us. Keep these guys in your prayers and Godspeed to both of them. There's an inscription at 82nd Airborne Memorial that says " Only two people have ever offered to die for you. One was Jesus Christ and the other is the American GI. One died for your soul, the other died for your freedom." So the next time you're watching a football game, make sure to remember those two -- FMFDOC and ABNRGR.

Peace.

ABNRGR,

I hope you see this post before you leave for duty.

Thanks for serving our country to help us preserve the quality of life most of us take for granted.  When times get tough, remember that Division III football awaits you when you return safely.

May God Bless You and God Bless America.

ABNRGR......May God Bless you and all of our beloved troops.
Without people like you making the sacrifice for people like us, we would not have it as good as we do.
May God protect you and hover over you with his protecting hand !

Well clearly then a mistake was made because a coach would never get mad and scream at a ref unjustifiably would he???    ;)

AllSky7....I agree with your opinion on this year's Tiger's Defense.
They play very good at times and seem to make plays when needed.
They have very good athletes on defense. Very fast for the most part.
A few games this year we were undersized on the line and got pushed off the ball which created some problems. And we get burned over the top at times. But, all in all we have a good unit playing D .
I really think overall the players have adjusted well to the new defense that was brought in by Coach Braithwaite ( spelling ? ) lol
But, Lets be honest its still all about Marty's great offensive mind that keeps us rolling. This guys play calling drives opposing coaches nuts !!!
Whatever.....All we know it that we simply need to win at RMC.
We just need to stay healthy next week. I have a strong feeling we will not see the starters playing very long.....Maybe a Half ?
GO TIGERS !!!

Good morning, everyone.  It's been raining steadily here for a couple of days (thank the Lord!) and that's a good thing because this area has been in a severe drought and most municipalities have been under tight water restrictions.  I just checked www.weather.com, however, and that site says 75 degrees and sunny tomorrow.   Hurrah!

This rain has probably restricted Guilford's ability to get in normal practices the past few days and I'm sure it washed out the Homecoming golf tournament today, but ... the field normally drains well and should be in fairly good shape tomorrow afternoon.  We've had a LOT of rain the past few days, however, so I'm not sure what effect it'll have on footing Saturday afternoon.  It may affect the the style of play a bit, but hopefully not too much.

Here's hoping Guilford has a very nice homecoming crowd and a lot of RMC fans make the trip as well.  See you there!

Same with Harrisonburg. I'm sure the same can be said for Lexington, where the Eagles travel tomorrow.

Should be a wet one!

Probably.  I watched the Boston College game at Va Tech last night.  Wow, what a disappointing end to the game for the Hokies.  As the old saying goes, "it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!"

Great Post E H DAD...
Your post most certainly puts all things in proper prospective !
We sit in the stands on Saturdays watching and rooting for our favorite ODAC teams, cheering, munching on Hotdogs, Pizza and chips.
Without many soilders like ARNBGR this would not be possible.
I for one am very grateful for these brave young men.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
