QuoteI suspect some major popping, a lot of popping off, and probably a scuffle or two.

Collar popping? Yes...I would expect some popped collars in Ashland this weekend.

:D  Yeah, as long as done in good fun.

What I don't want to see is what happened in '03 in Ashland where there was a pre-game fight even before the whistle sounded, and it resulted in players from both teams being ejected.  Seems a few of the Tigers went and disrespected  R-M logo on the field.

Let them have their gamesmanship, guys.  Don't fall for that and get thrown out.  Save it for after the whistle blows.

POY, Josh Simpson has had incredible numbers, but may not be the best offensive player on his team.
Drew Smith numbers are good ;90 receptions ,1353 yards 15 yds. per catch, but his intangibles like clutch 3rd down receptions, awesome blocking ability and team leadership may make him Marty's #1 go to guy.

I also don't see how anyone besides Pedro could get serious consideration this year.

Monty for COY.  Hands down, there is no competition for the way he calls plays.  Especially with a late 3 pt. lead and the opponent pinned inside their own territory with 3 and 10.

Does anyone know if Macon has increased the seating capacity on the visitors side since 2005?

That is a good question.  I didn't notice anything new when at Homecoming a few weeks ago.  In fact, it looked to me as if there was none then. ???  They may install temporary ones, but I don't even remember those back in 2005.  It may be standing room only. :P

And it will. . . . 8)

Pedro will win this award. (and he should) I think if the Tigers beat Macon this weekend, you have to at least bring up Marty for consideration. Remember, the Tigers were picked to finish 5th this year.  8)

No doubt about it....Drew  Smith is the real deal.  Can't speak to his leadership but IMO, that should be an important criteria for choosing a team MVP or POY. Obviously, Simpson missing three games for suspension would hurt him in the leadership category. Based on what I have seen performance wise, he is the Tiger MVP and should be a strong candidate for POY, especially if the Tigers win Saturday.  8)

In 2005 there were a few stands on the visitors side. Enough for maybe 300-400 fans (best guess). We ended up sitting on the home side. Although the Macon side was full, there was enough room for a kind of "informal HSC section" I have a feeling thats not going to be an option this year.

D3.com lists Day staduim with a capacity of 4,000. Should be standing room only.
