Everyone should read K-Mack's Around the Nation column.  He hit the ball out of the park on the rivalry. :)
DOH!!  Another Homer!  :)  I agree, K-Mack circled the bases on this one.  Have a Duff's, Keith, and take a bow!

It really was an outstanding column!

So good I posted a link to it on my Facebook page. 8)

     Huh....what's this facebook thing? I have a myspace page....anything like that?  8)

IMO, Facebook is the grownup version of MySpace.

Again, IMO, MySpace is just too messy. Facebook is a lot more clean and easier to navigate. A lot more functional, too, for us older folks.

I have Facebook if anyone cares to add me!

Guess when I grow up, I can switch right over to Facebook!!  :D Seriously, may have to give it a look. There are some serious freaky deakies on MS.  :o

Well I'll be D.......speaking of the devil. Did you say microbrewery my man? I am a beer snob summa cum laude.  ;D

Beer snob, you say? Now you sound like my kind of guy. Have you ever been to Oregon? This is great beer country. Portland has more microbreweries than any other city in the country and we are spoiled. If you want to have a claim to fame, it might as well be for beer.

Closest I have been to Portland is N CA. Consider visiting Portland officially on my list of things to do before I die. Perhaps I can stop by and hoist a pint or two on my way to Alaska. Another thing high on my list.  ;)

That sounds like a plan. We'll still be here.

Good luck to the ODAC teams tomorrow.

K-Mack, that was indeed another great ATN column.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Congrats to Coach White. Not sure if they are renaming Salem Stadium or just the field in his honor. It's too bad the Amherst Lancers are going to spoil the party and smoke his Spartans in a few weeks on their way to back to back state championships.  ;D  Would be three SC in a row for the Lancers if not for a horrendous (caught on video) call in 2005 at Salem Stadium.  8)
GO LANCERS...GO TIGERS...Jacketlawyer...I'll see you in the AM.  ;)

I just want to drop a quick line to all the ODAC teams and wish all the best of luck.  I've been reading all the "Game" talk online and feel like I'm going to be missing something big.  Sounds like a great atmosphere shaping up in Ashland.  I wish I could be a part of it.  I'm feeling like RMC, HSC, GC, CU, E&H, and W&L when Bridgewater was running the table.  I am truly envious of both HSC and RMC.  I'm not sad or bitter but I'd rather be in that seat.  I know how you all felt during Bridgewater's run through the ODAC and on into the playoffs in the years gone by.

No matter who wins tomorrow between HSC and RMC, you can bet I'll be cheering on either one in the playoffs.  Same goes for most BC Faithful.  We are ODAC and will pull hard for either team who makes it to the playoffs.  Me personally?  I'll be killing the pain of not fighting for a Conference Championship or a playoff appearance by cooking 14 fresh lobsters straight from Maine the night before.  Don't worry about the SkoalTrain.  He'll be all right.

Jacketlawyer, Allsky.  May the best team win and I'll be rooting for the winner come playoff time.  I'll be listening tomorrow so Good Luck to both Teams.

See everyone at the Stagg Bowl!  Regardless of who makes it, you can bet Stone Station will be in attendance.

Congratulations to everyone on another season down.  Congrats especially to Macon for the extraordinary turnaround.

As for the Emory seniors - you guys are some of the best friends I've known.  Although the season didn't go like anyone hoped it would, you've gone out without giving up.  Regardless of dumb play calling and rough breaks, you guys have never quit and battled to the end in every game.  You have nothing to be ashamed of.  As the last full class recruited by Coach Wacker, you've added greatly to the already tremendous Emory legacy.  I have no doubt that you will leave every ounce you've got on the field.  Good luck against Guilford.  And out in the wild somewhere, a Dog Soldier lets loose with a fierce war-cry...

Although the Catholic players are sleeping in a hotel in VA somewhere, I want to wish them good luck tommorow against BC. Congratulations to the seniors for putting together the best season for the Cardinals in 7 years. Those guys deserve a lot of credit for sticking through some rough years, especially the 0-10 campaign in 2004. Those players and everyone who stuck around through hard times at Catholic are responsible for where the team is now and where they will go in the future.

Congratulations to all the seniors around the ODAC. I hope they enjoy their last game this weekend, and never take for granted the opportunity that has been provided to them. As one of my coaches once said...A lot of people can put down D3 football and claim that they easily could have done it. However, most people can't say that they played 4 years of college football. Its not easy to put in the effort to be a college football player and earn a degree at the same time. That is an accomplishment that every senior player should be proud of.

A toast to Coach Wacker and his guys. Haven't seen him in a while. Hope he is doing Ok. If I had a nickle for every can of Franco American Spaghettios & Franks (not meatballs.....FRANKS  ;) that his son Alex and I ate in the Wacker house during the 1970's, I would be a very wealthy man.  :D  Good luck to the Wasp today.
Tigers.....remember all the heat and dead grass in August, the sprints, the throwing up, hundreds of days in the weight room, hundreds of hours spent looking at film....you get the idea. Anyone not jacked better check their pulse!!!  :o :o

The first time my son and I met Coach Wacker we were discussing his coaching philosophy.

He made a remark that more coaches should think about.

Wacker said,"I don't measure a players talent with his size,a stop watch,or tape measure. I measure his talent by the players work ethic, character, and the size of his heart."

Thanks Coach Wacker,

E&H Dad

To reiterate the far better stated thoughts of many others, good luck to all the ODAC teams today.  Although I'm disappointed that Guilford isn't competing for the ODAC title, I completely share the excitement of the RMC and HSC fans.  What a great day for The Game and the conference!  No matter which team wins today, I will be rooting for you in the NCAA playoffs!  The BC, CUA, E&H, GC and W&L fans all share this feeling.

Good luck also to Guilford today.  You had a little mid-season slump, but you can definitely finish on a high note at 6-4.  I'll be there today to cheer you on.  Go Quakers!
