Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Looks like Mount's reign is over for now.Not to take anything from them 37 straight is hard to beat.Congratulations to UW-W for bringing a breathe of fresh air to D3 football. Maybe now we will start to hear something other than the rest of D3 football being compared to Mount Union football.

Coach Monty at E&H might want to take a look at the UW-W .....three Stagg Bowls in three years.....the third time was the charm for them....a National Championship. Monty there are other ways than just the Mount Union way.....evidently UW-W football has been doing something right!

Merry Christmas To All.....See you next season!!!

wesleydad

we got back from salem at 300 pm today.  what a fun weekend. ;D  i dont know where to start, but thanks is always a good place.  cnu listed all the great people that we spent the bulk of the weekend with, starting at corn beef and co on friday night.  llama, skoal, olinemom, oilcan, kid et al, you guys are the greatest.  the spread that you put out with no team in the game is amazing.  we had so much fun despite the weather which didnt effect the tailgating nor the game since it was really only a drizzle and did not start until game time.

cnu, thanks for the kind word about my son, i also hope he has his best game to that point in his career, but of course i want the win. :D

roo cru, you have a great son and it was nice talking with you.

theaprof and skunks sidekick, great lakes beer is really good, i will have to see if i can get a local distributor to get some in pa.

af4 and son, great meeting you 2 and good luck next year at huntington.  it wasnt hard to piss them off since all they could say when they were losing was "how many championships do you have, we have 9"  i just gently reminded them that those 9 didnt change the fact that they were losing and you dont get points in the game from past wins.

we are looking forward to next year and after the results of the game, jason realized that wesley is not that far away from the uww, umhb, muc group.  it will be fun either way, but watching wesley play there next year would be fantastic.  d3 guys gordon and keith, good talking to you guys briefly.

happy holidays to all and a good and safe new year.  talk to you soon.

Llama, skoal, snake, olinemom, et al--

Let me also add my thanks to the STONE STATION crew.  :D :D  The spread was great as usual and the company was even better.  It was great to meet a bunch more of the posters--look forward to even more people next year.  Wesleydad, CNU85 and all the rest--it was great to meet you.  Enjoyed the conversation with everyone--even the UWW crowd.

Loved the pork, the chicken, the turkey, the fried potatoes, the salads, the brownies, etc., etc., etc.

Olinemom--you got your wish and UWW got their win--this year.  But rest assured, we'll be back. ;D ;D

Hope to see y'all next year.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Kevin and I want to thank everyone for their hospitality again this year.

We stayed over last night and Kevin and I checked out VT. Kev spent me broke in the bookstore so I now have a little Hokie in the house.

Merry Christmas to all and thanks again
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

To Stone Station, et. al,

Let me also add my thanks for once again showing the ODAC and Bridgewater hospitality that you are famous for!!!   ;D

Once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I spoke to CruAlum39 and we have it on our calendars already for next year.  Hopefully things will work out so I don't have to leave right after the game next year.  Due to heavy rain and strong gusty winds,  I made it to Nashville at 4am eastern time. :P ??? :o

To Wesleydad and his son, AF4 and his son, CNU85, skunk, football413 and all the other fans of every persuasion thanks for helping make friendship among D3 fans what it should be. :D

Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Folks.....sounds like I really blew it!!  :'( I am still major bummed about not coming Saturday. I was long johned and camo'ed up and almost walked out the door a couple of times. The weather forecast looked really bad. My heart was saying GO GO GO but my head was saying NO NO NO!!  :o CNU and skoal....I appreciate the offer of a floor to sleep on but unfortunately, I had other considerations besides myself. If it had been just me, I would have been there bright and early like at Hampden-Sydney. I was sitting on the couch in front of a warm fire with my warm GF, drinking a Brooklyn Brown Ale, & eating chips and dip wishing I was out in the cold rain with a bunch of guys. I must be freakin crazy!!!  :D
As for the game.....guess I need to chow down on my crow. I'm happy to do so though. What a great performance by the Warhawks!! Congrats to them. Congrats to the Purple Raiders as well. It is very hard to stay on top when you have a bullseye on your back. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of these two teams in Salem.
And last but not least congrats to Pat and the D3 crew for another job well done.

     MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Pat Coleman

I just wanted to jump on and say what everyone else has already said.

Great food, great beverages, great people, great times, GREAT GAME!!!

To all the Stone Station faithful--let's keep this a growing tradition every year!

CNU85-- thanks for the hat... love it!!!

Wished a few more could have accompanied us to the Corn Beef after the game, since I missed everyone the night before.  But I guess I can be somewhat understanding of all you old farts who went straight to bed!   ;D

I made it through the 11:00 news and that was all she wrote.  What a great time from start to finish.  This was the best one yet!  I can see this becoming a great tradition for many years to come.  I guess it's easy only being an hour away.  If it ever does get relocated after 2009, I'll be in attendance.  It was great meeting the old faces as well as the new.  Based on the feedback everyone's been giving I can only see it getting bigger.

Thanks to Llamaguy as well as Peggy and Chris for all their time and efforts.  It was a blast and one for the books.  Can't wait to start it up next year.  Now on to Christmas shopping as I need to start.  I owe the wife big time since she let me come.

Allsky, you missed a good one.  Wish you could have swung it.

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

I spoke to a few of you Stone Station guys about a hilarious video based on the Trinity/Millsaps miracle play.  Click on the link below and enjoy!   ;D
