Can anyone comment on how graduation will affect each program?

Not only that, but we have only six starters returning. Not to mention we lost (to graduation) our place kicker, punter, and snapper.

As I tell people who ask me the proverbial "so, how will we look in 2008" question, I think we'll have a great year if we finish 8-2 -- but be prepared for a possible 6-4, or even 5-5, season.

I think we'll have a chance to win every game, but losing 33 of our 50 depth chart players is a huge hit. We have lots of young talent, so who knows what will happen.

Exactly.  Too much parity in the ODAC especially over the past couple of years for anyone to spot on with any pre-season rankings. :-X

I just read 'em, give the attention they're due, and then forget 'em. 8)

Seriously -- because of how well R-MC did last year and how poorly GC did, and all of the graduation losses by various teams, does ANYONE feel comfortable picking ANY conference game yet? Shoot, even H-SC over CUA isn't a definite.

I suspect (and hope) H-SC, W&L, and R-MC will have the first place votes in the preseason poll, while E&H, GC, and CUA battle for last. I'd give the Quakers and Wasps more respect, but having such an awful defense (GC) and forfeiting the whole season (E&H) keeps them at the bottom for now. I think BC fits well in the middle of the conference for the preseason.

Giving a team their first loss in the odac is huge,HSC got quality wins Guilford,Bridgewater, and RMC. RMC had a more opportunistic trip through the ODAC,with a big win against W&L. Guilford lost steam after an early loss to HSC because they had high hopes of winning the ODAC. BC got mad and beat a defeated Guiford badley.Emory took advantage of a complacent HSC. The early games in the ODAC changed everything, Guilford wins at HSC and BC looses
to HSC, Guiford could run the Table. BC beats HSC they Have a chance.

I was at the HSC/GC game last year and it was a tough loss (56-49).  Everyone knows Guilford will score, but the Quakers have to field a better defense.  The Defense will have a new Coordinator this year as well with the loss of Michael Vite to the HC job at NNA.  I think what a lot of people forget is Vogelbach's injury during the game 5 win over Greensboro - Vogelbach played the next three games (all losses), but it was obvious he wasn't the same.  As he goes, so go the Quakers.  Personally, I think Guilford will be in the mix this year - maybe not ODAC champ, but certainly not vying for last.
