I would have to agree with you muchacho.  Caleb Jennings is a star but the best two players right now are Keith Ricca and John Simpson, with Jennings and Sitterson a notch behind.
I was surprised Catholic was that successful on offense against EHC.  Ricca has been putting up big numbers in big games.  Catholic has really come to play in the last month.  They have double digit wins in three straight games against three conference opponets (W&L,HSC,EHC).  Huntington won 62-0 today.  That could be both good and bad news for HSC.  The good news is a win against Huntington would be huge for the Pool C bid.  Bad news is that Huntington is pretty good.

Huntington won 62-0 today.

Unfortunately, they actually won 76- 0 (with a backup quarterback, no less).
That having been said the team they beat is really bad, having given up fewer than 40 points only once this season and winning two games in the past four years, so I'm not sure how much of a barometer today's game was. However, scoring 76 points against any team is no easy thing and H-SC is definitely going to have to have their A-game when they get to Birmingham, especially the defense. I'm hopeful they'll be up to the task.

At 4-4, Guilford's season has been less than expected.  I'm still hopeful the Quakers can finish 6-4, but realistically we have Catholic at home and E&H on the road ... two tough contests.  Although his TD pass production is down, Josh Vogelbach would become the all-time NCAA DIII yardage leader with 98 more yards.  The career TD record is too far away, but I'd say the yardage record will almost certainly fall, so congratulations to Josh for a fine career.

The CUA game is Guilford's Homecoming and Senior Day, so I think it could go either way.  No matter what happens, I expect a lot of passing yards with Ricca and Vogelbach!

any word about Ricca being suspended or that he was  supposedly scheduled to have been suspended a week ago?

My guess would be since the only word has been on this message board, the suspension may come sometime in late December. Say after the 20th when the Stagg Bowl is played. :D

Sounds like if you can't beat him then make sh*t up about him. How does ODAC Offensive Player of the Year sound?

rooster21

could be offensive player of year, just trying to find out about the rumors on this guy!

While you're at it try and find out if Elvis is alive and what happened on the grassy knoll.

Rooster- Where do you get your information?  Sounds like a desperate attempt of a HSC backup trying to distract the best team in the ODAC!  I hope Ricca keeps lighting everyone up!  Does anyone know if the ODAC plans to show the CUA-Guilford game on the web?  Should be fun to watch Vogelbach try to set the record for D3 for yards.  I believe he only needs 98.  I expect a lot of offense and wouldn't mind tuning in.

Thank goodness that one is put to bed. All the books are e-books now so it would take an MIT student to  find a market for them.  :D

Actually, Ryan Tipps of D3 Football suggested a 9-1 Tigers might make Pool C. In the past, the ODAC has not been very respected. Yes, I think the best bet for HSC is to win out, and hope to get some help. Anyone heard anything about Ricca having to sit out a game--maybe against E&H?

I think Rooster21 was only trying to see if the question about Ricca posed by Round One had any validity.........
