I'm glad I saw the game in person, but I'm sorry I missed the ESPN show last night.  Thanks for the congratulations and the update.

so if h-sc wins next weekend and catholic does too, does this mean that catholic and h-sc share the title???

If both teams win, Catholic wins out as ODAC champ...that would give each team one loss in the ODAC, but CUA wins the head to head tie breaker with their win over HSC.

AF4

i am pulling for a HSC pool C bid, at least

good game, HSC was just better than we were

the freak interception (to quote HSC85) was indeed... a freak
i had walked down the sidelinre and the ball went off a HSC players helmit... possibly touched by several others (?) then caught by a Huntingdon player

our DB (#6) is really good...but #81 for HSC was...about 8-10 inches taller, and the HSC QB was cool..laid it right out (really up) to #81

best team won, i hate that, but the truth will set u free

yall have a good season... i pray safe travels to the HSC folks back to thier homes

LLAMAGUY--if u r out there--- the boy and i might try to eat yalls bbq and buy a ticket to the stagg...if yall r gonna do it again

keep the faith

there are some scoring machines in the ODAC...but to get the ESPN sticker is better than a AA prediction. Volelbach will be missed. Does the Wolfpack have anymore they don't want?

Round One

Alabama get away!

HSC was fortunate to get out of Montgomery with a win. The Hawks are very tough and showed it by staying close enough to cause some palpitations.  Even up by 17, many Tiger fans were thinking about the Bridgewater game.

Sorry about rumor control concerning Ricca, consider the comment dropped and my apologies to a fine quarterback and person.

Any chance for HSC to reach the playoffs requires a solid game against Macon. Macon is a challenge and has been playing well for the past two seasons. Thornton is tearing up the turf, and that will be a challenge.

Question for those smarter than I am:

If CUA and HSC lose while EHC and RMC win there would be 4 teams at 4-2.  Who gets the automatic bid?

billt101

According to D3 Football.com Pod Cast.  RMC would get the atomatic bid.

I'm not sure I'm smarter than anyone else, but here's how I see this scenario:

Head-to-head

CUA would have lost to RMC and BC (one of the four tied teams)
HSC would have lost to CUA and RMC (two of the four tied teams)
E&H would have lost to HSC and CUA (two of the four tied teams)
RMC would have lost to E&H and W&L (one of the four tied teams)

I think their two head-to-head losses eliminates HSC and E&H, leaving CUA and RMC.  Then, CUA lost head-to-head to RMC, which would favor the Yellow Jackets.

Last trip to the play-offs

RMC ? but before 1999
CUA 1999
E&H 2000
HSC 2007

Again, if this is the back-up tie-breaker, the edge goes to Randolph-Macon.

Randolph-Macon last went in 1984, and we lost a crazy one to Washington and Jefferson in the first round.

HSC has always dominated this game but RMC has been playing very well lately.  Should be an exciting last week of football.

You know, I really hope we get it done.  "Hope" being the key word here.  We haven't beaten the Tigers since 2000, and to be perfectly frank, haven't even really been close since the Mud Bowl of 2002.  Pedro has yet to beat Marty; I was waiting for the Benny Hill music to kick in during the 2006 game.

But having said all that, it's a great game; among the best to be found at any level.  And I always go, and find enough inside to go and root for my team. 8)  Beating the Tigers at Hampden-Sydney is the best way to get it done, and even though we've got a lousy road record this year, GO JACKETS. ;D

Only on this board do we find an allusion to Yahoo Serious!  Well done! ;)

Gonna have that haircut from pulling my hair at the end of the game if I see a repeat of '06. ;D
