I'm sure that Jim is talking about winning the NY Regional.  My money is on Brockport for both!!!

I like Ithaca this year.  They have a strong team that will compete favorably with Cortland State.

I forgot where I was.  Cortland is my pick in the SUNYAC.  I admire the work that Brockport has done and they should add to some variety to the New York region.  Other than last year where Eastern Conn represented the new York region, I cannot think back to a time that the New York region was not represented by what is the big 4 in the new York Region - Cortland, Brockport, Ithaca, & RPI.

Don,

Again, thanks for the chuckle... I haven't hit a homer in 20 years!!!

Jim,

With all the boards that you constructively post on, I can see where it is really easy to have conversations blend into one another.  It happnes to me daiily!!!
LOL

Jim Dixon

I randomly check the board and see what the last post says.  If I miss a few days I start to get out of touch.

Paul Heering

just giving you a hard time bob, your posts are well thought out and appreciated.

we all have a little homer inside of us.  i mean look at my picks in the "not so quickly catching on" fantasy picks, i picked my old school plus two others within half an hour

2003. Trinity (CT) defeated Cortland in the NY Region title game at Bruno Stadium.

Don,

I understand that... Mybe I should ahve put "--- " around the word homer.  I was joking that you were suggesting I hit a home run... which I haven't done for at least 20 years now... LOL

OFF TO PHOENIX... talk to everyone in 10 days.  Hope I don't get too far behind!  Or sunburned for that matter... where's my 30 sun screen and hat?

New to the boards....

Look forwrad to some heated debates and...

The only throne Cortland will be sitting on at the end of this year will be the one in their team locker room.

Well, I know that most of you follow the top teams on these boards, but I just thought I would let you know that Saturday, March 10th, the Univ. of Rochester (from here-on-out referred to as UR) played Fairleigh Dickinson in a 9 inning contest at the Disney World Sports Complex, only to come up short in a 7-6 loss.

UR scored in the top of the first with a lead-off BB, then a SB, followed by a SAB, then a 4-3 groundout.  Unfortunately, FD scored a run in the bottom of the inning as a result of an infield throwing error.  Score 1-1 after one.

In the bottom of the fourth, FD scored 5 runs on 2-2B's, 2-1B's, BB, and an error.  UR fought back with 3 runs in the 6th, and 2 in the 7th.  FD scored the winning run in the 8th.  Ultimately, UR had 4 hits and 2 errors, and FD had 10 hits and 2 errors.

Both teams had some good pitching, and not so good pitching.  Untimely errors, and not-so timely hitting could have had a different result for UR.

Errors need to go away!!!!  They cost 2 runs, and a victory!!!!

Field of dreams,

Thanks for the score.  Since Cortland won, I have moved this score onto the SUNYAC board so as to deliver more responses and to keep the index board cleaner. :)
