i really think skidmore drops from the 2 spot......a loss to middlebury, which i dont believe is included in these first regional rankings, is a real bad loss as i said in another post i posted either in general ny or the LL posts. But then poses the dilema of who to move up......i really dont think plattsburgh is 2 in the region, or 3 at that, maybe skidmore stays in the 2, or UR jumps up.....Im not too sure....any thoughts on the regional rankings that just came out

Plattsburgh wins game 2 like 11-10 or something -- so Doorey gets his coveted 30 wins.

I still say if they go 2 and out next weekend, it'd be egregious if they got in.

They remind me a lot of the Adrian hockey team a couple years ago, go like 28-1 and not get into the tourney because they just didn't beat anyone good.

Cortland over Ithaca 13-4 at IC. RDragons 30th win. Outhit 13-9. M. June 3 hits, A. Dimino and J. Simone three rbi each. CSt. uses seven pitchers

Any chance we could stack-up Cortland's 30 vs. Plattsburgh's 30. Before you call me out, I'm just asking? By the way, the crap about nobody playing wanting to play Plattsburgh is idiotic. Their other sports all deal with it. The hockey team travels all over to play, not a problem for them. (the don't go to Adrien, Truth Boy). The soccer team goes to the NCAAs all the time and they don't have any problem finding games. The biggest question, though is why didn't they play Skidmore? It looks like the Thoroughbreds are playing Oneonta instead in a recently added game. That should have been the Cardinals.

Yes, it is interesting that Plattsburgh-Skidmore didn't get rescheduled.
More interesting, however, is the moves each team made subsequently.
The Cardinals added a second game against six-win St. Michael's.
Skidmore scheduled 26-win Oneonta.
Hmmm.
Hmmm.
Boy, it couldn't be that Plattsburgh wanted to -- gasp! -- inflate its record and not lose to a fellow at-large hopeful, could it?

And the skidmore coach must have realized that Oneonta was going to use filak for the conference games saturday so Skidmore won't see him, while he would have seen plattsburgh's - gasp!- best pitchers!

It all makes too much sense!!1!

I would imagine that Skidmore and Plattsburgh just couldnt find a reschedule date or some sorts so Skidmore figured they are probably the front runner for the at large saying they get beat in the LL title game or something, so plourde being smarter than doorey in this sense scheduled another tough in region opponent to boost their likeliness to get the at large.......Honestly if I were anyone in the SUNYACs besides cortland i wouldnt want to play UR Skidmore Clarkson because I believe this year that the LL is much much deeper than the SUNYAC......Almost tourny time though..........what are the first round matchups for the SUNYAC? Oneonta go Filak game one or save him for a potential game against cortland? Unless they face them first round......I really dont think anyone cant take cortland off their throne......Input?

Fact: Two teams needed a game.
Fact: One team went out and got a 26-win team.
Fact: One team added a second game against a six-win team, giving itself a) another home game and b) a 25th game this season against a team under .500.

Dispute as you see fit. It's pretty clear what happened.

Did you get cut from the Plattsburgh team or something truthfinder? Because all you've really done on this board was take shots at the Cardinals. But that's right, you just call it "exposing the truth." You sound like one of those 16 year old girls that didn't get a bmw on her sweet sixteen from mtv. As for the comment about all of Plattsburgh's other sports teams, they have been around for awhile and have built themselves up overtime. Plattsburgh restarted the program in 2002 and are still building the program up. They gain a little national recognition and you feel the need to bash them? Also, I believe the coaches in the conference named Doorey Coach of the Year twice, not anything to do with a national board, as your comments about the Cardinals getting an automatic at-large bid just because he's on the ncaa board are ridiculous. You're not only bashing Doorey, but you're bashing the Cardinals, who have put in the time over the off-season to get where they're at. The players have no control over who they play and they don't deserve being bashed over beating teams they should beat. Why don't you write to the national rankings board or the board for ranking teams in the region, in which Plattsburgh is ranked 3rd, if you have a problem with the rankings? This board is about talking about competition in the sunyac, while still keeping the integrity of the game intact. And this board has been doing a good job of that until you signed up and felt the need to bash the Card's with all your undercover work "exposing the truth." So if you don't have any other insightful comments to make about other teams in the conference or any other positive comments to make, then I don't think this board is right for you, because I think everyone can do without your negativity.
