Watching the game on a video feed but the live stats are several minutes ahead of the video. Strange. The video must be on a delay. Video shows Gardner at the plate but live stats shows Gardner just hit a 3 run homer.

Anderson Gardner hots a 3 run shot for Cortland in the bottom of the 1st to tie it at 3 but IWU gets a solo shot in the top of the 2nd to go back on top 4-3. Now IWU coming to bat in the top of the 3rd.

Cortland scores a run in the bottom of the 3rd on 3 base hits to make it 4-4 heading into the top of the 4th.

IWU loads the bases with no outs on 3 straight singles, but Kris Gentze gets a stikeout and induces the next batter to hit a comebacker to him and the Red Dragons turn the DP to get out of a major jam. Good job by Gentze. Still 4-4 with Cortland coming up in the bottom of the 4th.

Dragons with men on 1st and 2nd and 1 out. IWU goes to the bullpen and Anderson Gardner singles up the middle to give Cortland a 5-4 lead. A fielding error loads the bases and Jason Simone singles up the middle to knock in 2 more runs. Next batter strikes out to end the inning but Cortland now leads 7-4 heading into the top of the 5th.

IWU back in business with the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the 6th. Sac fly to left field scores 1 run. Men on 1st and 2nd. Next batter HBP loads em up once again. 2nd hit batsman of the inning. Coach Brown arguing the call as the batter made no effort to get out of the way. Now Brown is going to his bullpen. Brandon Derosa coming in to pitch for Red Dragons. Derosa walks the 1st batter he faces and another run scores. Next batter singles through the right side to tie the game at 7-7. Derosa srikes out the next batter. 2 down. Next batter grounds out to 1st. Bottom of the 6th coming up, 7-7 ballgame.

After the 1st batter flys out to right, Adam Dimino and Gardner both draw walks with Steve Nickel coming to bat. Nickel triples to right center and Red Dragons regain the lead 9-7 and looking for more. Simone hits a grounder to 2nd base who throws home and Nickel is out at the plate. Khyle Dimino strikes out to end the inning, but Cortland back in front once again. But no lead seems safe in this game.

IWU goes down in order for only the 2nd time in the game. Good job by Derosa. Red Dragons coming to bat in the bottom of the 7th.

Zilnicki opens the bottom of the 7th with a triple and the Red Dragons looking for some insurance runs. Pinch hitter Kaplan for Cortland grounds to 3rd and Zilnicki has to hold but Shawn Bailey bunts to the 3rd base side and Zilnicki score and Bailey goes to 2nd on a throwing error by the pitcher. IWU goes to the pen again and June and Adam Dimino are retired on a flyball to left and a ground ball to 1st. Cortland gets 1 more and now leads 10-7.

Derosa retires the 1st batter in the top of the 8th but a base hit and a walk have brought the tying run to the plate. Action in the Cortland bullpen. Derosa walks the next batter and to load the bases and Coach Brown is bringing in Mike Mahay. If the Red Dragons ever needed a ground ball to 2nd or short, now would be the time.

Cortland gets the grounder to second but its a slow one and they can only get the out at 1st. 2 down men on 2nd and 3rd. Run scores to make it 10-8. Ground ball to 3rd basemen who throws high to first and another run scores. Next batter grounds to the 2nd baseman who throws him out at 1st. Now 10-9 heading into the bottom of the 8th. Really need some insurance runs now.

Mahay does his job and IWU should have only gotten 1 run as he induced 3 straight ground balls.
