Plattsburgh splits with Western Connecticut, losing 15-3 (I believe) and winning 1-0 to close out their Florida trip. Kris Cauchon drove in the lone run in the back end of the DH and Bobby Piser threw seven great shutout innings.

Cieszko route-going stint for RPI includes 1w, 7Ks. Jr. A. Schuldt in 6.2 innings strikes out 12, walks two for RDragons. M. Mahay tosses 1.1 innings of hitless relief, 0w, 2Ks. M. "If the world was perfect,it wouldn't be". The SUNYAC'S also fit in Yogi"s quote. Why start the doubleheaders at noon? It seems your just begging for trouble,when a 10 or 11 oclock start is easily possible. Most teams will come the night before anyway! Secondly ,after watching Div.3 games for the better part of 12 years I still don"t understand allowing upwords of 50 people in the dugouts for games. Most dugouts aren't protected effectively from foulballs as it is. Having this many is not safe or necessary!While I"m on a roll... can"t rosters be required to be completed by a certain date!I understand everyone"s schedule is different but a set date would balance the equation for all.And lastly "if you come to the fork in the road, take it!" so I will,I think? Now Oneonta's AJ Bates didn't pitch in Fla.! Is he hurt,if so I hope it's not serious. He's got a live arm and would be a big loss for O-state.Outta time be more later!

onesix3,I agree with you on start times doesnt make much sense to me either ,but what I think is worse is that they are going to play 1 seven inning game and 1 nine inning game on sat. then play a nine inning game on sun.For Gods sake these are young men in the best shape of their lives I think they can handle all nine inning games.It is college baseball last I checked.As for O-States AJ Bates, he isnt hurt and will be pitching this weekend against Fredonia if the weather allows.I think it will be the Sun. game but no verification on that yet.

Cortland's contest today at Mt. St. Mary's in Fishkill canceled by weather -- bad. RDragons due to host Ithaca on Wednesday. From our Florida location -- beautiful, that appears a longshot by all reports from our northern brethern. Corts entertain Bports on the weekend. Iffy, too?

very iffy, jdex. Accumulating snow predicted for much of upstate tomorrow pm, if it's more than an inch or two the weekend is probably out. Hey, you never know. Sometimes they are wrong.

Weatherman got this one right,around 8" of snow already in Binghamton area and working its way up.O-State series with Fredonia for this weekend already postponed til next thursday I believe.Farther north you go snow supposed to be less intense for a change,but Cortand is supposed to pick up around 6"between today and tonight,so weekend games are going to be tough to get in.Montclair postponed game with O-State dont know why, they were supposed to play yesterday and Montclair put it off til today then called at 7:30 this morning to say they better not play.Looks to me like they were trying to set up pitching and didnt have enough time for pitchers to get rest.Pretty cheesy crap to pull,hope it bites them in the rear.

Plattsburgh cancels the trip tomorrow to N.J. and postpones the weekend doubleheader @ New Paltz. Long week off to right the ship.

I hope Carhart makes unis now, those boys are gonna be cold !!I do think Monday is supposed to be a little warmer .Sunday sunny but cold and if the game is at C-land I bet the wind will be blowing.

So I haven't really thought that the heads of SUNYAC could get any dumber after making Plattsburgh play two teams every weekend while their conference opponents only faced them...for the last two years. Now we make the switch to three-game sets, which I like the idea of. Yet someone thinks it's a good idea to play a TRIPLE HEADER in New Paltz on Tuesday. Three games in one day? Not safe and unfair for the competitiveness of college baseball. And don't tell me it's just as unfair for New Paltz as it is for Plattsburgh. I'm not arguing that. It's stupid either way to ask these kids to play 3 games in one day.
