Plattsburgh struggled to hit again today...just 4 hits in 9 innings of ball doesn't win many games.  Dan Tracy pitched pretty well for most of the game.  Hopefully the Cards start hitting tomorrow and take two.  Ps...Tarheel I believe I was right about that Cortland loss to Oswego.

pstate17 ha ha you were  righ,t i bow to you,I honestly didnt think there was anyway Oswego would steal one from C-State ,but I'm glad they did.Anxious for conference tourney to start.Gonna be a long week for Oneonta,Keystone yesterday,montclair today,2 with St.John Fisher tomarrow Utica weds. and C-State on fri. and sat. and maybe a game Easter Sun.Well the boys wanted to play ball so now they are!

Plattsburgh lost that first to Brockport, never finished the second, and has to start the third.  Today they play a DH vs. Clarkson at home.

 DH between Oneonta and St. John Fisher scheduled for today is postponed til May 4th will only be a single game.

Plattsburgh comes from behind to beat Clarkson 3-2 in game 1.

Cardinals score 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 6-2 lead going into the bottom of the 5th in game 2 as they look to sweep the Golden Knights.

Cardinals won game 2 by a 7-2 final score.

Utica cancels/postpones O-State game scheduled for today.Plattsburg comes to town for game 3 of thier series with O-State tomorrow Game time 2:30

Corts break up close game in late stages, five run seventh inning breaks things open. Fr P.J. Rinaldi three-run HR a big blow. M. June 2x3, 3r and two steals including early game straight steal of home. Z. Graczyk 2x5; J. Bright 2x3. Soph Z. Badanes get mound win, going 6.0 innings, 3h, 1bb, 8k. RDragons 23-6

Change in schedule for showdown with Oneonta. Friday now a doubleheader starting at 1. Saturday single game at noon

Oneonta just scored in the bottom of the 12th inning to nip Plattsburgh 6-5. Cards, down 5-2 after 4 innings,  score 3 runs in the 6th to tie the game. Lots of zeros until the 12th when the Red Dragons get a 2 out base hit from Kevin Knack with a man on 3rd to win the game.

Plattsburgh 5 runs 9 hits 2 errors

Oneonta  6 runs 11 hits 5 errors

.This weekends games between O-State and C-State should help put things in line for either team going forward towards regionals.Also if single game on Sat. cant be played due to weather it will  be played on Mon.

Plattsburgh left the bases loaded multiple times in late innings.  Hitting in clutch situations has hurt the Cards all year and not being able to convert with so many men LOB really hurt.

Cortland holds off gritting effort from OSt., whose pitcher J. Herzenberg exits after getting one out in the first inning. Departs with injury after issuing a walk. Had allowed Z. Graczyk double (game's only extra base blow) and he scores on J. Adornetto single. Corts go up 5-0 in the second. Graczyk knocks in two and T. Panetta one with singles. Two Oneonta errors contribute. CSt leaves sacks loaded. Third Oneonta pitcher -- C. Andresen, virtually shuts down the hosts over 6.1 innings. Allows seventh inning run when Andornetto has rbi single.

Oneonta gets on the board with three-run sixth. E. Wells has rbi hit as does M. Mascari. OSt strands a pair. Finally kayoes Cortland starter A. Schuldt in the seventh with a run. J. Molloy relieves, strands runner on third. OSt threatens in the ninth against third Cortland reliever, P. Lompado. Error and M. DeCarr two-out single puts tying runners on base. Gets Wells to groundout for save.

Plattsburgh State beats Oswego 7-6 in the first game and is leading 4-0 after 3 innings in the 2nd game.

T. Ratliff goes the seven inning distance and fans the side in the seventh with tying run at the plate. Ratliff 3bb, 6k. C. Smith suffers the setback in route-going stint; 1bb, 2k. Corts score one in the third. M. Wild leadoff double, HBP and M. June SF. Make it 3-0 in the fifth. J. Fredenburg opens with 2bh. Smith nearly escapes but N. Thode and J. Adornetto stroke two-out rbi singles. Oneonta makes bid in the sixth. Walk and K. Knack single put Ratliff in jeopardy. Goes 3-0 on next batter, comes back for strikeout. Groundout scores OSt run.
