B-Port and P-Burg to play thier games at Oneonta tomorrow, prob for logistics,B-Port to play 3 against O-State starting Sat.

budhar

Game 3 Brockport and Plattsburgh Game not being finished until Sunday!
Why not tomorrow?
That game should be finished before the Oneonta and Brockport series begins.
Oneonta and Brockport should play 2 on Sunday. They were going to play one on Sunday so why not play two?
Making Plattsburgh hang around until Sunday? What a shame. Sounds fishy to me. These Plattsburgh boys must be angry unless there thinking Brockport will be tired by 3 PM Sunday.
So who makes these decisions? Boy oh boy. Everybody complains about a bad economy. Plattsburgh has to take a trip to Florida by bus but now is forced to spend another night at the hotel? It's only money.
I know, the hotels in Oneonta make the call. Last week of the regular season and three teams battling for two spots and now this. WOW.

budhar, Oneonta was nice enough to let b-port and P-burg use thier field so they wouldnt have to travel back and forth .How is this fishey?and how would it benifit O-State?P-Burg doesnt have to hang around they are more than welcome to go home and come back Sunday, which by the way is what they were planning to do.This is O-States home field and the schedule has them playing 2 today and one Sunday why should they change to accomadate P-Burg?If anything this could hurt O-State because they will see B-Ports best pitching whereas if they let the other two play first maybe they dont. And as far as P-Burg being "forced "to take a bus to Fla.they could have put up more money and flown down or maybe do a little fund raiseing, dont blame the economy for them not flying.

Tarheel0550,
My bad. You are correct. I just ate my foot.
Selfishly the little boy came out in me. It would have helped Onenonta if Brockport got two in yesterday. So lets take 3.

Tarheel0550

budhar,no prob. You gonna make games this weekend? Im getting ready to leave and should catch all 3.Hope O-State has a good weekend so they can solidify thier regional standings.Seems ST J Fisher fans dont think O-State should be ranked above them but they should have played a tougher schedule.St J Fisher game Tuesday but only single game now.

...and by the way, Cortland and MANY other schools take buses to Florida in the Spring.  Who has the money to fly that many players?

Tarheel0550

I would like to see more teams take buses and play thier way down south and back north again, think this helps bring teams together and a way to get in alot of games but not play 10 in 9 days like so many teams do.I feel this is too tough on arms and attitudes this early in season.Just my opinion, for what its worth.

Being that the Plattsburgh/brockport series has more playoff weight then the brockport/oneonta series, why wouldnt that be finished first?  Now a tired brockport team with no pitching left has to play a freh plattsburgh team on sunday. Looks as if New Paltz will now have to take 2 from cortland if they wanna make it to SUNYACS
