Looking at Cortland's roster, I would be shocked if this team didn't win a championship in the next few years.  Most of their lineup and pitching staff are sophomores.

Yes indeed. Cortland roster very, very young ....frosh, sophs abound. Absolutely one of Joe Brown's best coaching stints, especially in the pitching area. A. Fusco one of the few veteran arms entering the season but not factor. Personal issues took a toll, though a heartening performance in RDragons clinch of regular season pennant flag.
    CSt scheduled Monday home outing with Newburgh's 9-24 Mount St. Mary ppd. to Tuesday. MSM on Monday playing Skyline Conference makeup doubleheader vs. Yeshiva.

      Second Game: Fusco, veteran lefty whose season has stalled for a big part, threw 109 pitches against second seed GEagles. Retires 16 of the last 17 batters. Brockport takes suspense-filled 12-9 10-inning tourney championship contest over Cortland on sunny Sunday at Corts Wallace Field. Verdict earns Bport auto bid into NCAA tourney.
  GEagles stage one-out two-run rally in the ninth -- pinch-hitting B. Tietjen single to center ties it, to send issue to OT. N. Pastore leadoff triple to right ignites winning bid in the 10th. Scores on P. Bingham first pitch flyout to center. Gravy comes when J. Pangburn lashes two-run single. Teams use 13 pitchers who yield 31 hits, 13 walks, 3 hit batters, and throw 354 pitches and strand 25 runners (13 CSt).
  Brockport off to rocky start. Three first inning errors help RDragons score twice. Still trail till three score fourth provides 5-4 lead. Hike to 7-4 in the fifth but CSt immediately answers with two runs. Dragons pull off 9-7 reversal in home eighth on pinch-hitting AJ Fenton tying double to right and A.
