RDragons hold 9-2 verdict over St. Joseph's LI while Bombers drill defending national champ Eastern Connecticut 11-2 in action at RDragons' Wallace Field. Site hosts Saturday rounds with Cortland/Ithaca in winners session at noon in first meeting of the season after St. Joe's/E. Connecticut elimination clash at 8:30 in double elimination tourney.   St. John Fisher tumbles 10-3 to Randolph Macon VA in regional start at Maryland's Johns Hopkins. Still, N. Campanelli with quite the game -- hitting leadoff homer to start the tilt and then swatting another with two outs in the ninth. His three hits half SJF production. P. McGuire LP.    Cortland Regional winner advances to next week's Super Regional vs. Bridgewater MA Regional winner. On Friday top seed Endicott MA loses 4-2 to Bridgewater, and Johnson & Wales RI downs Middlebury VT 12-11 in 11 innings. Endicott bounces back Saturday morn to eliminate Middlebury 6-1. Bridgewater/J&W winners bracket game ppd. to Sunday.

    Brockport survives 6-2 elimination outcome with Arcadia PA in Saturday play at Arcadia Regional. A. Huffman WP (7inn, 2h, 1r, 0er, 4bb, 7k), M. Colucci (2inn, 2h, 1r, 1er, 2k, 22p) take out top seeded host. GEagles 3-0 lead through three innings, 4-0 through five. Bport 6-13-2, Arcadia 2-4-3.

    St. John Fisher in two bigtime Saturday elimination comebacks reach Sunday final round against top seed Johns Hopkins at Baltimore's Hopkins Regional. Fisher stuns Penn St.-Altoona 10-4 with seven-run top of the ninth inning and then shocks Randolph Macon 10-9 with eight runs over the last two innings.
     SJF Cardinals vs. PS-Altoona have E. Perry single to center drive home tying run. B. Norsen with two-out grand slam and B.   Corts on Thursday edge Marietta OH 6-5 in Kannapolis NC on late game run-scoring wild pitch. Hold mid-game 5-0 lead that includes newcomer N. Marola three-run double. That win follows mid-February opening series at ranked Salisbury MD whose Sea Gulls sweep NYers in three games.

  Dragons (3-4 overall) playing most ambitious early slate ever. Upcoming Friday/Saturday games at Kean in Union NJ. Kean 6-1 following 12-2 Sunday win vs. Brockport. Cortland during March 8-16 spring break plays seven games in California against respected Cal Lutheran, LaVerne and Chapman.
