Brockport takes 2 in Arizonia!

DogHead

I was wondering about Coolidge...awesome stuff...very happy for his success....but I gotta say that there's more to W's and L's for JB....and after this I will cease with this silly back and forth...all of the allegations are so false...lol, it is once again, laughable...of course you won't mention them in a public forum because the stupid comments are false! As I said before and again, this will be the last time, his integrity is beyond reproach....and the guy down the road is his freakin' mentor! And only plays 30 games each year...lol...God bless and best of luck to all....just check out all these posts at the end of May and we shall see what the evil Joe Brown has done for SUNY Cortland once again...oh, and the fine young men that are wound so tight, we'll see how they feel as well...Peace be to all.

Of course JB's evil...after all, isn't Cortland State better known as "The Evil Empire?"

LOL J/K. Hopefully this will put the talk about Joe to rest.

...yeah, people on his roster that don't play could start for any other SUNYAC team?!? Like who? And based on what performance? What are you even talking about?

Kyle Kowalowski was redshirted at cortland, then made second team All SUNYAC his first year at Plattsburgh.  I have no doubt other players siting on cortland's bench could be major contributers at other SUNYAC schools.  As for the rest of the JB  discussion, i really have no opinion of him since i never played for him.  I just wanted to make a point and provided you with an example since you asked for it.

Cortland defeats Stevens 11-5 in opening Florida outing on Sunday

Kski

Plattsburgh defeats Scranton 10-7 in their Florida opener in Fort Meyers.  No stats up yet.  Face value says good offensive production and a little struggle with pitching.  It'll be interesting to see the inning-by-inning.

Congrats to Brockport and Cortland.  At this part in the season it's always good to see some teams in the conference puttin' up W's.  Good luck to all SUNYAC teams in the coming week!

hey doghead ....i wont mention them..... why dont you go  to the cortland police dept.  and bring the roster and ask them if they recognize any one on it...... and stop at cortland county jail and do the same........ keep your head in the sand..... im done with this JB   BS

2 more wins for Plattsburgh today in a DH vs. Bethel.  The Cards had to battle back from a 4-0 deficit in game 1 and ended up winning 10-7.

The Cards took game 2 pretty handily by a score of 14-7.  Overall the offense looks pretty good with a lot of players having multiple-hit games.  The pitching definitely needs to shape up and stop allowing 7 runs per game.  For now, the W's are all that matter and Plattsburgh is riding an impressive 7-game winning streak early in the year.

Side note:  Plattsburgh defeated Scranton 10-7 yesterday in come-from-behind fashion.

Side side note:  Cortland is up on Wheaton 6-2 in the top of the 4th

"The best Cortland team ever" just dropped one to Wheaton, 10-7.  Rally the troops and put the naysayers to rest coach!

Cortland will be one of the best teams in NY, but there are other temas in NY that can put up a good fight. We saw last year that the best team doesn't always win. They will be fine. It is baseball and teams if they are playing a good schedule should not go undefeated. If your undefeated after 20 games, most of the time you are playing some walkovers. NY teams are coming out of the gym and people should expect some early season loses because of not being game ready yet. They'll be fine and win over 30 games in the regular season.

Cortland 32-8- my prediction

Did anyone hear the same thing I heard that Filak was bringing it up to 95mph in his first start?

Just my thoughts.....

Kski

Brockport takes one from Dickinson in extras (10-9; 10 innings).

Filak at 95?  Pretty impressive by any standards.  We all know that his velocity is up there, but it will be interesting to see what he hits consistently.  It looks like he is doing well so far.  0.69 ERA with 26 K's in 13 innings of work and a 2-0 record.  Oneonta looks like they are doing a good job at righting the ship after last year's disappointing season (7-0 to start the season).

Fredonia is 3-0 in Fort Meyers Fl.  They are scheduled to play some of the same teams as Plattsburgh this week (Scranton, Bethel, Millikin, Minnesota-Morris).  These games should give us a good comparison of the two teams and how they might stack up against each other later on in the season.  Of course, nothing is absolute, but it's fun to think about seeing as these two teams will be fighting it out (along with Cortland, Oneonta, and Brockport) for the top spots in the conference.

I hate to leave out New Paltz and Oswego, but there's not much to tell.  Oswego dropped a pair in their season opener and New Paltz is 2-1.  Maybe some more numbers from them and we'll all have a better idea if either team might give the "favored" teams a headache come conference games.  I don't see it happening, but I'm not counting it out.

New Paltz split a double header with Salisbury today winning game one 6-3, and losing game two 4-1.  I'm not suggesting they are one of the top 4 conference teams, but maybe, just maybe, they are not horrible either.  In any event, how about a well done for one of the SUNYAC teams.

Kski

Props to New Paltz for sure.  They definitely deserve it.

Kski

Plattsburgh takes 2 today from Lakeland today (9-3 and 11-3).  Offensive production has been consistent, and I must say, better than last years at this time in the season.  Not bad for supposedly losing a lot of bats from last year.  I guess we'll have to see if this holds up.  Honestly, I hope it does.

Cortland takes a close one from Wheaton (6-5) and Brockport has a tough day against WNEC, losing a 10-0 game

Its pretty easy to crush a guy(JB) anonymously on a public forum.... Having said that, JB is doing a a good job at a place where winning is expected! He recruits well and gets some $ transfer. Lets face it if you are a good player and leave any school to come back and play in NY, Cortland is the place to be! Its tough having alot of good players on 1 team, all expecting and wanting to play. It takes some coaching moxy to pull together the ego's that go along with having a number of talented players all on 1 team! 33-6 is right around what Cortland will finish the regular season at..... Barring a catastrophe, they will win the SUNYAC and be a serious contender to win the regional..... Another 30+ win season and people will still be calling for JB's head! JB, you can't please everyone, so just keep winning!
