Same question, what's up with Filak not pitching?  Good job to Brockport bouncing back and taking 2 today.

Not pitching against Brockport in a SUNYAC doubleheader should be enough to tell you he's not 100% healthy. When he is 100% the box scores will tell the story. Yesterdays conditions were not condusive to pitching succsess! In 2 games there were 18 pitchers,38 runs,7 wp's,8 errors,6 pb's and 2blk's! Theses are just the numbers, not excuses because both teams faced the same conditions. Un fortunately for the pitchers it resembled a beer softball game. 20 to 40 mph winds blowing straight out to right field made it adventurous. The flag never drooped in 7 hours of baseball.

Kind of figured that Filak wasn't 100%.  Just wondering if anyone had specific details at all.  Sounds like it was an adventure playing in those games.  Wind like that will make coaches and anyone on the bench hold their breath when a ball is hit in the air.  Like you said though, no excuses.  Both teams had to play in the unfavorable conditions.

Sorry for being short with the explanation, but having to deal with young adults and injuries is not a subject I like dealing with! From what I heard second hand(if that doesn't sound reliable don't repeat it)he tweeked his elbow in Florida. How I'm not sure, but this i know,he didn't throw alot of pitches. But sometimes you don't have to.

No offense taken.  I just like to keep up with all the information from all the teams.  It's difficult, especially when you only have reliable contacts on one team in the conference, in my case it's Plattsburgh (guess I'm just a rock-eater at heart).  In any case I hope he bounces back.  I really want to get a chance to watch him throw again... This time from the bleachers.

It was certainly to Brockport's advantage not to face him.But as I said before its hard for me to see kids who work hard at their craft shut down for an injury.Hopefully Filak and Dubben will be back soon. Two players Oneonta cannot afford to lose!

Not so sure I'm too excited about the Cortland IC matchup tomorrow although these two teams always seem to battle and Brown just tries to beat his mentor into a pulp...best of luck to both teams weather permitting!

It's been pouring most of the day here in Syracuse and I'd imagine that Cortland got much of the same. It wouldn't shock me to see this one get pushed back a little.

Typical upstate NY.  Rochester is 55 and sunny as heck.  not sure of schedules, but I think that tomorrow is supposed to be clear and 70 across upstate.

Same here in Syracuse minus the sun. Oh well. Cortland plays St. Joseph's (Long Island) tomorrow afternoon, Cazenovia Friday and then Keystone on Saturday.

Ithaca plays at Stevens this coming weekend.

The field at Cortland should be dried out by tomorrow.

Anyone know what is up with Kevin Jackson? He and Andy Gardner haven't played much this year.

Both playing today .....believe Gardner may have pulled something during Florida trip. Cortland 14-0 over Cazenovia in today's first game in gorgeous weather (and that comes from Floridian where we, too, are basking. Big news in first game ......A. Brown tosses seven inning no-hitter!! RDragons with 14 hits, 0 miscues

jdex

Cortland up 2-0 in third of nightcap .....Jackson dhing

Opener has dh Gardner in fourth slot with a hit -- triple and 2 BIs; Jackson hitting fifth and 4x4 with 4 BI and double. B. Ribeiro three-run HR in six-run fifth

jdex

2-0 margin holds for Cortland to complete dh sweep of Cazenovia. A. Dimino two-run hr decides it for 15-5 RDragons

A. Brown issues one walk in first game no-hitter. CSt errorless as well
