I dont think coach brown will have too tough of a time putting the right lineup together,he seems to get it right more often than not.I was just stating on one of the west boards that they shouldnt be so happy with all the west teams in top 20,when most of the east teams have not even started playing yet.I still think the best d3 ball is played in the New York/New England regions even if a team from there doesnt win the series every year.Go RED DRAGONS!!! Oneonta that is. ;)

Cortland today defeats College of Staten Island 2-1. M. Mahay tosses six-innings of two-hit ball and relievers hold off major late threats. T. Nagy gets save. All of the scoring in the first two innings when M. June hit safely twice. He scored the first run on T. Panetta's rbi double, and drove in the second with a single. Dragons remain on L.I. for games Saturday vs. LI St. Joe's and Sunday vs. Farmingdale.

Cortland 2-5-0
Coll of SI  1-7-2

Oneonta leaving Weds. for there run through Fla. Need to come home with no worse than a 7-3 maybe 6-4 record if they have any chance of repeating going to regionals this year. A 6-4 record would put them on the hot seat for the rest of year and wouldnt have any throw away games.Looking forward to seeing how they stack up this year without Filak on the mound. With the addition of a few transfers and a solid bull pen they should be able to hold their own against the SUNYAC competition.

Plattsburgh drops their opener 4-0 against Old Westbury in Long Island yesterday.  Anthony Presto was the only multi-hit player for the Cards and Tyler Greene tried keeping them in the game with 4.2 of scoreless relief.  They turn it around for a doubleheader with Ithaca first and Southen Maine second.

PSTATE ,not getting easier with Ithaca coming up for P-Burg.Maybe can get into Ithacas bullpen and turn it around

Ithaca game is actually tomorrow...I believe it was pushed back but maybe I misunderstood the schedule.  Anyways Cards beat Southern Maine 2-1.  Close game all along, led by Paul Handy on the mound. Ithaca up tomorrow hopefully Plattsburgh can salvage a 2-1 weekend.

Plattsburgh drops another...16-3 against Ithaca.  They wrap up the weekend at 1-2 coming back north and should be disappointed.  Have to score more than 5 runs all weekend to compete but we'll see if it's the early competition or if its the weather.  It seems to be defense and base running that will carry them this year.  Their pitching will be middle of the road and hitting will come around.

Cortland's Sunday game at Farmingdale on LI canceled by weather. RDragons, 3-3, await March 13-19 play in Aub urndale, FL. Seven games on tap

Can't blame the weather. Ithaca, Southern Maine, and SUNY OLD Westbury were playing in the same conditions. I just think Plattsburgh was way too over rated to start the season. They are going to compete with Oneonta and Brockport for the 2,3,4 spots (not ruling out New Paltz or Fredonia to compete either). I do commend Doorey for finally playing some decent pre-season teams. Ithaca is a tough tough team. I dont know much about the other two they played. Appears their First team all SUNY-AC Shortstop Bouyea is done for the year which hurts.
1. Cortland
2. Brockport
3. Oneonta
4. Plattsburgh

BAD BAD loss for Oneonta today lost 6-5 to Juniata.Only started 3 starters to see how underclassmen woud do.Defense was actually ok but did not get any timely hits.Start out tommarow with Clarkson, then square off against U-Mass Boston.

airball55

No better today for O-State as Clarkson smacks them 13-5.  I still think that the overall schedule this year may be beneficial down the road for them.  Championships are not won or lost this time of year, but, it appears Cortland and Brockport appear to be the early class of the SUNYAC.
