Cortland sweeps Fredonia 10-5, 10-7. A. Schuldt gets nine inning first game victory. J. Adornetto two his and three runs. Lefty T. Ratliff, who earned last week's national D-3 honors, chucked the nightcap win. N. Thode had four hits and scored twice. Adornetto likewise scored twice for 21-6 RDragons.

Interestingly, Cortland website has the two teams playing tomorrow ........Freds site says it's Sunday. Both agree today's contests in Fredonia were moved up from Saturday. Guess here is they play singleton Saturday

Looking forward to next weeks showdown between Oneonta and c-state. C-States playing more games early in season could help them this weekend to setup thier pitching rotation as thier schedule shows them only playing 1 game, this week and thats against Cazenovia.Oneonta playing Keystone on Sunday and Montclaire on monday.Need to get atleast a split between those two.Im sure Ratliff will get the Fri.game against O-State.not sure who will get Fri. game for O-State but would assume it will be Herzenberg unless they want to hold him for second game.Hope there will be a good crowd there c-state usually has great attendence but being Easter weekend cant bet on anything.I will be there for all 3 games so I hope the weather is good!

Game 1:

Oswego         1  5  0
New Paltz      6  8  0

A. Grann almost complete game shutout, gave up only run in the 9th.  8.1 inn, 5 h, 3 bb 7 k. Oswego bats were dead and New Paltz hit in the clutch. Quick, relatively clean game on both sides.  Teams will play the doubleheader tomorrow due to rain.

Couldn't agree more lezgo...this Cortland team is average at best!  That offense is anemic...just take a look at those gaudy statistics LOL!  WOW...that's a potent line-up if I may say so.  7 team jacks?  .300 team batting avg.?  Geeeeeez...other than their top three starters, that staff barely has a pulse.  That cupboard is barer than a the employee breakroom at Fukushima.  One run ball game after one run ball game against some sub par programs?  A win is win yes but nothing they should feel good about.  Other teams in this region should be licking their chips because this is as good as it gets IMO.

To anyone that thinks Cortland is overated you must be on drugs.I am an Oneonta fan and Iam looking forward to nthe matchup Easter weekend. But to call C-State anemic and playing sub par teams? The Sunyac has some good teams top to bottom, who has a better conference ?The LEC?Cunyac?how many of the N-England conferences?Oh I Know the NWC out west, one word BULL!Baseball is a game where anyone can win on any given day thats why you play the game ,but to call C-State overated is a slap in the face to all the SUNYAC teams and you really should get a clue.

cstate19

Cortland       11-1    22-6
Oneonta       10-1    17-8
Brockport      7-4      18-8
New Paltz     6-5      15-12
Plattsburgh   5-7     10-16
Fredonia       1-11   12-15
Oswego        1-11   11-14

Cortland and Oneonta have clinched berths.  I think Brockport will grab the #3.  It will be down to NP and Plattsburgh for the final spot.  Heading into tomorrow, Plattsburgh has three with Oswego, two with Brockport, and one with Oneonta. New Paltz has three with Cortland, three with Fredonia, and one with Brockport.

Not that we're aware. Gotta believe it will be diffiicult to schedule or reschedule at this time, given makeup games that out-of-conference teams have to play in their leagues. Know Cortland and Ithaca had early season date ppd. Would think both would like to get that one in, but just when could be a problem. CSt still has play left with Keystone and Rochester
