Great weekend for O-State came in and played very well against a pesky N-Paltz.Too bad the sweep was shut down by the home plate ump in the 7th inn of todays second game,I have NEVER seen an umpire so blatently screw a team as this guy did.If the SUNYAC doesnt step in and somehow remove this so called ump from doing games I feel sorry for any team that has this jerk behind the plate.I take nothing away from the New Paltz players or coaches ,but this ump was almost arrogant in the way he screwed O-State out of the sweep.Disgruntled? you bet I am, this was to the point of down right cheating.Good luck too any team that has to play with this JACK-ASS on the field.

Heard about this although I did not witness it. Guess the ump had a questionable strike zone which allowed a few walks in the bottom of the 7th which led to a walk off grand salami.

Oneonta looks like it has answered some early questions, Cortland will be in. Brockport wins two important games.  It is going to be a great race from a crowded field to get those last 2-3 conference playoff spots.

Questionable strike calling would be an understatement CSTATE lol,its really too bad the SUNYAC doesnt send reps out to watch some of these games more often,I feel it would improve the umping, which in watching the umping from a few different conferences the past several years the SUNYAC umps are definitly sub par compared to other conferences. For a conference that sports some of the most competitive teams top to bottom its a shame they have to put up with inferior umps that I wouldnt hire to ump a little league game. Now that i'm done with my rant----The SUNYAC is shaping up to come down to the wire on who's in and who.s out, have not seen a dominant team show thier hand yet.C-State showing why they are the class of the field, but also very beatable. Not the usual J Brown team this year,Have not seen B-Port play this year ,but looking forward to it.As for the rest of the field its up in the air,O-State shows some glimpses of what they can be,and P-Burg cant put it all together to shut the door on opponents.

Have to agree with Tarheel on this one.  Umpire blew the game for O-State.  Though it seemed NP had the heart to win that game, they would have came up just short if umpire had kept his eyes open.  But unfortunatly we all forget that awful umpiring is apart of the game and thats why we love it.  New Paltz just can't hit in the clutch or play defense, its pathetic when you look at the numbers.  15 hits and 2 runs in a 4-2 loss in game 2.  Can't even do that in a video game.  Not to mention 10 errors in the series.  Hats off to Oneonta, I think they've answered all pre-season questions.  Great defensive team and they play with a lot of heart.  Came back to beat Chismar on a day where he had everything working for him.  New Paltz and Brockport continue to under-achieve to this point, but both teams are fully capable of making a run.  The SUNYAC is truely one of the most entertaining conferences to follow.

Thanks for the support on this one Cope_str8 I wish I could give you some kharma on this one.You were also right on Chismar, threw hard and fast first 5 inns then started changing speeds and mixing in nice breaking stuff, threw too well to take a loss. Also noticed N-Paltz coach wanted to win that one more than he let on, rumor was Chis was on an 80 pitch count, ended up close too or a little over 130.This could bite N-P later on if Chismars arm continues to be sore.

Seeing as how it is only chilly (46 degrees/windy) I don't see why it was cancelled due to weather. We played in some snow March 31 and a heavy rain April 1. It was cancelled at Cortland's request..........

Right, the game was cancelled ahead of time when the forecast was for heavy rain.  The decision was made to avoid driving up there for 2 1/2 hrs. watching it rain for 1/2 hr and driving back to Cortland.  It happens all the time.

Speaking of games postponed because of poor weather, today's Ithaca at Cortland game has been rained out. No date has been set for a make-up. The last meeting between the two teams resulted in a 10-10 tie.
