Plattsburgh just won 11-9 in the nightcap. It is going to be an amazing end of regular season play. If Brockport can take care of NP it will come down to the Oswego vs. Plattsburgh series for the 4th spot. If B-Port can't take care of NP then it will be a three team fight for the last two spots. The Sunday doubleheader after each team played three games is rough. The Eagles must be livid with NP.

jdex,
Wrong info on the Plattsburgh -Brockport 2nd game. I saw that 5-4 score on the Plattsburgh website and knew it was some kind of a mistake because earlier the livestats had Brockport winning 6-5 going into the 5th. I left work and went up to watch the final 5 innings and the Cardinals after falling behind 7-6 in the top of the 7th had their biggest inning in a long time off of Brockport reliever Rob Stankiewicz as they scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to go on top 11-7. They hung on for an 11-9 win as Cardinal reliever Marc Plante came in and shut the door, after Brockport scored two in the top of the 8th and had men on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Plante got an inning ending double play grounder to short and then retired the side in order in the top of the 9th to allow the Cardinals to win the finale against Brockport. Big hits for the Cards in the 7th were a 2 run triple by Mike Varques to put the Cards in front to stay and a 2 run double by Damien Tyler a few batters later to give the Cards the insurance runs they needed. Steven Corea picked up the win in relief of Bobby Piser and Plante got the save. Port's Stankiewicz who was unscored upon in 9 appearances this year took the loss. Cory Booth led Brockport with a 3x5 day and 3 ribbys. Jake Coleman was 3x4 with 2 rbi's. Mike Mulvihill drove in 3 runs for the Cards as did Varques who was 2x4 at the plate. Casey Brighton was 3x4 with 2 rbi's and Tyler ended up 2x3.

Booth should repeat as POW. In 3 games against P-State he goes 8-14 with 5 RBI's and 5 Runs scored.
