Quite the turnaround at Cortland where RDragons win conference crown with 4-3 comeback win over Brockport. CSt strikes for four runs in the bottom  of the eighth. B. Barry's third hit of the game doubles home tying and winning runs with two outs. Bport threatens in the ninth on two hits but strands runners at first and third when reliever T. Nagy gets M. Weakley to rollout to M. June at 2b. Corts spoil terrific start by Bport's T. Renwick who goes 7.2 innings. Yields just two hits till the eighth.

Brockport      3-12-1
Cortland       4-7-1

One scoring change made after the game, so new line is:

Brockport      3-13-1
Cortland       4-7-0

A very exciting game. Very reminiscent of both last year's tourney, when Brockport won first game Sunday and lost tight second game, and 2004 tourney, when Brockport shut out Cortland twice Sunday to win. There have been some great Sunday SUNYAC games between the schools.

Glad you like our "weather" reports!! This started a year or two ago with Dan Surdam, the associate SID here at Cortland, posting funny weather lines. I got into the act last year, and everyone who helped out with either softball or baseball here this weekend did the same. I'll take credit for the weather status you quoted above, since I was scoring the game today. And yes, I do enjoy my career (despite the crazy hours).   -- Fran

a new one to this site. So, any thoughts on a team making it from the SUNYAC other than Cortland?
