jdex,
Just thought you might want to know for future reference...the pitcher for Plattsburgh State that won Saturday night's game against Oneonta is named Orr not Ott. Scott Orr is the ace of the Cardinal's staff so far this season with a 3-1 record, 2.65 era, and 29 K's in 37.1 innings. After his 132 pitch, 10 strikeout  shutout last night they are calling him "Iron" Orr. ;D

Also hails from near your neck of the woods...Baldwinsville.

Rumors of baseball weather in Northern New York is strictly that....a rumor. Snowed on Saturday...snowed on Sunday...snowed again most of Monday night.

Plattsburgh State had to postpone another game and has yet to play a home game this season. The game against Skidmore that was scheduled for today was postponed as jdex mentioned in his post. There is no make-up date announced at this time.

The Cardinals will play at Brockport this weekend but the single Friday nine inning game has been moved to Sunday at noon. The doubleheader will start on noon on Saturday.

The 2 home games that the Cardinals were forced to play against Oneonta down in Wappingers Fall and then had to be postponed from that location last weekend have been rescheduled to take place in Plattsburgh on Tuesday April 14th and will be the Cardinals home openers. (I'll believe it when I see it actually happen...baseball in Plattsburgh  ???)

The rescheduling of the 2 games with Oneonta occurs on a day that the Cardinals were supposed to host Middlebury College for a single 9 inning game. That game has now been cancelled and will not be made up.

If the Cardinals, do in fact, play the remainder of the games listed on their schedule, then they will have played a total of 8 games out of 35 in Plattsburgh. :P

More winter weather in Plattsburgh as 2 inches of heavy wet snow fell overnight. Good thing that the baseball team and softball team are both on the road this weekend or those games would probably have been cancelled. Cortland Men's Lacrosse team is invading the Burgh on Saturday and that game should be ok as they will play on the turf at the field house complex.

Griffin's go-ahead double to right-center. Scores on C. Manderson single. Griffin (3x4, 2r, bi) in the lineup again when M. DeMilio -- recently back from injury, leaves the first game. Griffin later added rbi for fourth score and 4-1 margin in the sixth. RDragons produce seven runs in final at-bat, Michalski (2x4, 3r, 3bi) driving in a pair. Corts bang out 13 hits and overcome four early errors behind 4-1 A. Weingarten (6inn, 1r, 0er, 4h, 0w, 3k). A. Storz absorbs pitching loss. Second of five SI moundsmen
