jdex,

why did that game change?  weather related?

Spree

so much for beating cortland...Brockport pretty much just handed the conference back to the Red Dragons.  You cant go out and sweep Cortland only to be swept by Oswego.  I kind of knew Brockport was going to have a let down after Saturdays big wins.

Look for Cortland to run the table now, while I see Brockport potentially losing another game or so to Plattsburgh or Oneonta.

I guess we are gonna have to sit through the SUNYACs back at Wallace Field in May.

jdex

Bob,
Yes, am sure weather caused the change

wow talk about a let down for brockport. thats why the games are played though, i guess anybody can be beat on any given day. looks to be a long, hottly contested remaining sunyac conference schedule! remember its not a sprint, its a marathon!

SUNYAC Standings

Oneonta 3-1; Brockport 2-2; Cortland 2-2; Fredonia 2-2; New Paltz 2-2; Oswego 2-2; Plattsburgh 2-2; SUNYIT 0-4

Yes, the complexsion of the conference "race" was turned upside down twice this weekend...

The conversaton we all had in the winter months indicated that we expected a couple teams to be better... New Paltz and Fredonia were both mentioned.  They've proven us all to be pretty smart...  :)  As they are improved.

The Oswego team is a surprise... but they are in the mix now as is everyone.

I suspect that even Cortland may drop a game along the way... but they do look like they are again in the favorites seat.  As they took it out on Fredonia pretty good.

As scuba says, thats why we play the games... and even after the Brockport wins over Cortland on Saturday, it was still where you end up and what you do in May that counts... you just have to get there.

Don't get to high or low from a win or a loss, as you have to play tomorrow...

how about the last 4 days, cortland goes to brockport and drops 2. a huge let down for the c-staters after starting the yr 14-0. brockport beats cortland 2x,(Congratulations by the way) huge boost, only to turn around and lose 2x to oswego. makes u realize how much emotions can play into this game. cortland had to think they were going to wipe the floor with brockport and got beat. brockport probably thought they would whip oswego and dropped 2. i would think that this would be a point that coaches are driving home to their teams from here on out, don't get complacent, u have to play every game like its your last! i'm done with predictions, but whats interesting is that brockport now holds the tie breaker over cortland if both teams win out or end up with the same record at the end of conference play. i guess it doesn't matter where the sunyac is played as long as u win it and get that automatic bid! getting interesting especially because the weather is not supposed to be thet greatest for the next 2 weeks!

Scuba,

Well said... it has been a very topsey turvey week in the SUNYAC hasn't it!!!

emotionally up and down for a lot of teams and people.

Brocport sweeps Cortland... Oswego sweeps Brockport... Fredonia sweeps Oswego... Cortland sweeps Fredonia...

You never know...

Spree

Nothin is wrong with Wallace Field...besides the drive.  Would be nice if we had a change of scenary for once for the SUNYAC tournament.

Sorry if im being greedy...but the drive to Brockport (or Fredonia for that matter...haha no chance) would be much more convenient for me.
