Is that at the half?

Seriously, is that the weakest opening game for a defending champion?

The Lord Jeffs lord over Southern Vermont 99-54.  Northern, Eastern and Western Vermont had no comment.  Next in line, oh come, oh come Emmanuel.  They're going to need every available Saint on their side.

Next Championship BeltTM Match:  Emmanuel at Amherst, Nov. 27

are there ever real vegas odds set on D3 match ups, like top 5 teams or tournament games?

No, in fact if you can't bet on it,  you can't even get a score while in Vegas. :(

First of all, as an alum of Brandeis University, tonight is a night for me to celebrate.  My school now has the D3 Championship Belt for the first time in its history.   As a fan, I expect Brandeis to defend this prestigious belt proudly against all challengers.  2 successful defenses will keep the belt in the UAA for the rest of the regular season, which is where I want this belt to stay.

Brandeis's first title defense is this Tuesday, Dec. 11, at home against the Curry College Colonels at 7 PM Eastern.  A successful defense will keep the belt in Brandeis's hands until January, so I want Brandeis to win on Tuesday.

While I'm glad that the team I've been pimping for three years has finally stepped up in a big spot, Curry is in my home Commonwealth Coast Conference and surprisingly competitive this year.  They haven't done so well on the defensive end, but Guard Tim Jones is phenomenal.  You'll have to let me know what you think of him.  He's been hurt for most of the past three seasons, but seems to be playing great ball right now.

Any truth to the rumor that "Deis! Deis! Deis!" spelled out in rhinestones has been added to the belt?

The trophy shop was closed yesterday, on account of the Patriots game.  When I spoke on Saturday with the owner, he said that it would be a 3 day job to add these words to the belt and do it properly.

Rest assured, should there be a successful title defense tomorrow, the aforementioned words "Deis! Deis! Deis!" will be added to the belt.  The job would start on Wednesday, with the belt available to be picked up Saturday morning, 12/15.   No sense wasting the money only to lose the belt quickly.  :)
