Up next... UW La Crosse travels to Devos Fieldhouse for a crack at The BeltTM.

The question is will Stryker and/or the Maroon Platoon make the 430 mile drive, as well?

Is that 430 miles with the ferry or without?

If this is a super old reference to a post of mine about a magic ferry from over 10 years ago, God bless.

Those magic ferry references have an honored place in the MIAA Hall of Supersweetness.

Alas, both the SS Badger (Manatowoc to Ludington) and the Lake Express (Milwaukee to Muskegon) are done for the season and will resume operation in the spring...

This is why the ferry became lore.  If only they'd run in the winter, things would've been a lot different back in the day.

... or ItTM hates Cleveland. I tend to lean towards the latter explanation. The BeltTM is a highly-refined and discriminating entity.

UW-Stevens Point 74  Hope 72

The Pointers will return to Wisconsin with their favorite accessory.  I think this makes the 6th time in their history that Stevens Point has captured the BeltTM  Its also the 7th year and 3rd year in a row the Pointers have had the BeltTm at some point during the year.

In four days UWSP travels to St. Thomas where the Tommies will get their shot at reclaiming The BeltTm they started the year with.  More than likely The Belt will be staying in the Central Region this year if the Tommies don't win it back.

2016-17  BeltTm Path
3-19-16  St. Thomas
11-15-16  UW-River Falls
11-19-16  Hope
12-10-16  UW-Stevens Point

It's interesting how thus far in this still-young season The BeltTM has gone into the WIAC, come back out again, and now has gone back in yet again. The BeltTM is clearly doing the hokey-pokey with the state of Wisconsin.

Completing the starting lineup ...

Not a lot of height for this year's Tommies.

Okay, I actually took the time to read through this entire thread over the last couple of days. This is "silly and pointless"... but damn it if I didn't have to contain my laughter reading through some of the stuff about The BeltTM.

I also discovered that I can retroactively cross "Announce a game for The BeltTM" off my Announcer Bucket List, because apparently I already did. After reading through the lore of The BeltTM I can only conclude that my feeble mind was not ready to grasp the concept of such glorious baubles and gewgaws, and ItTM refused to reveal ItselfTM to me. But considering the sheer number of teams in D-III that have never even had a chance to play for ItTM I'm honored to have been in ItsTM presence, even unknowingly.

*crosses fingers that UWSP still has The BeltTM when NCC plays them on 12/28 so the Cardinals can take ItTM*

I think this is the saddest sentence I have ever read.

Actually it would be much sadder if said in the Top 25 thread - this one is about somethingTM truly entertaining

Is it too early to note that if St. Thomas beats Stevens Point and the regular season ended tomorrow night, the Tommies would miss the MIAC playoffs and the beltâ„¢ would not go to the national champs?

Never too early. Always looking for that scenario.

I've got to give you credit. I came to this board when The BeltTM was discussed on page 15. I only had to read thru 15 pages in a shorter period of time. You went thru the 105 pages in a couple of days. I've "invested" 8+ years reading the additional 90 pages. +1K
