The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Carleton 73  St. John's 58

In a story as old as time dating back to the first post on this thread Carleton summons powerful inspiration to retain The BeltTm defeating the MIAC's first place team forcing another 3-way tie at the top.

Carleton next hosts St. John's sister St. Mary's on Wednesday

St. Benedict's is St. John's sister college. My wife used to work as a residence hall director there.

St. Mary's Cardinals 55 @ Carleton Knights 86

Sister St. Mary's are unable to beat the suddenly hot Knights! The BeltTM has given Carleton resurgence back to MIAC playoff contention. What great powers ItTM has.

Carleton travels with The BeltTm to Hamline Saturday.

They are the Pipers .....which is this guy

and reminds me of

Carleton tops Puss in Boots Pipers and continues to hold on to The BeltTM!! They have their off day on Monday as the rest of the MIAC plays in a grueling week of M-W-S conference play. Meanwhile, Carleton will be shining and polishing ItTM and getting it ready for the final 7 games of the regular season.

Wednesday the Knights bring The BeltTM to a very majestic game against the Royals of Bethel University, who has been a very solid team this year. The first meeting Carleton lost in OT in a home game against Bethel. But that game the Knights were not armored with their BaldricTM

How dare I not use proper grammar when speaking of The BeltTM. Thanks so much for the correction!

Carleton's really taking ownership of this thingTM to heart and since taking control of The BeltTm against St. Olaf by 14 they've rolled off 4 wins by 15, 31, 15 and 18.

Next up is a home game with Augsburg.

I have used this before and it is still awesome!

It appears so...

Augsburg Auggies 71 @ Carleton Knights 76

The Knights have now won 8 games in a row and make that 5 in a row with possession of The BeltTM! I love to see a run like this propelled by The BeltTM. Before they had possession of ItTM, they were sitting at 1-6 in the MIAC, with little to no shot at making the 6 team league playoff. But now, sitting at 9-6 and bringing The BeltTM home to Northfield after each battle, it seems all but certain they will have a chance to win the MIAC AQ come early March. The run continues on Wednesday as the Knights make the trip up to face the Macalester College Scots.
