I should add that, in light of the question as to whether or not The BeltTM is allergic to Texas wildflowers, we really ought to get some sort of a long-term medical report regarding Thee Most Exalted Bespangled CinctureTM from Just Bill.

Do the handlers of The BeltTM need to clip an epipen amidst the gewgaws and baubles?

You suggest The BeltTM can be waylaid by something as insignificant as an airborne allergen? I find your lack of faith disturbing.

I got to add a new marker to the map from this past weekend when Randolph-Macon successfully defended The BeltTM twice at Hood College.

Their game at Mary Washington Wednesday will be the 7th game for The BeltTM played there and first since the 2017-18 season.

I went and looked it up, just because I was curious.  Potsdam successfully defended the Belt 28 times during their record 60 game winning streak.  A couple other teams did it 27 times, but Potsdam remains the record to beat.

For comparison, RMC only defended the Belt twice since they took it off Elmhurst in the title game.  They had a 29 game win streak, but most of it without the Belt.  Heavy is the waist that wears the Belt!

Boy, Mary Washington is riding high today. The BeltTM is securely under lock and key in the campus vault, and the Eagles men's soccer team is going to the Final Four for the first time in 25 years.

And they successfully defended The BeltTM with a 79-66 win over Hampden-Sydney at home.

The Eagles will mount their next defense in Baltimore with a trip to Johns Hopkins on Sunday. The Jays were a Stealth Era holder in 2002, but this will be the first time in the modern era that The BeltTM will be played for at Goldfarb Gymnasium.

The BeltTM is it's own vault.

Johns Hopkins at Washington on Tuesday.  Potentially bad week for Washington's.

Washington College are known as the Shoremen and they've chosen a goose as their mascot.
  Gus the Goose

JHU has Muhlenberg on Saturday then a long break until late December.  JHU capturing The BeltTm has significantly reduced the potential conferences The BeltTm may spend the Winter if they can retain it this week.

JHU only has Denison(NCAC) and Coe(ARC) remaining.  Muhlenberg winning would increase those conferences 2 fold.  A Winter in the CC is looking pretty good.

That's a goose?

"Goose" would've been well down my list of guesses as to what that mascot is supposed to represent. In fact, none of my top guesses involved an animal at all. My first thought was, "Why does Washington College have a giant slice of blueberry pie as its mascot?"
