Present.  Personally, I think the BeltTM looks good with a cassock, as shown below.  If and when OWU wrests the BeltTM from the claws of the Bears and defends it against those "other" Wesleyans, the Bishops will restore the Dignity that the BeltTM deserves but has long lacked.

Actually, a complete lack of dignity (and taste, and style, etc.) is one of the BeltTM's most recognizable qualities.  If someone gets any dignity on it, warm water and mild soap on a lambskin washcloth should take care of it.

I'm betting that IWU could handle that! ;D

Hoo, boy, I'm in trouble now! :D

Whew! Looks like I avoided going to church more than my standard twice a year. Wash U downs the Bishops 85-68.  The BeltTM seems to getting very comfortable in St. Louis.

Not one mention of the BeltTM on the Washington U. athletic page.  It's all "National Champion volleyball team" this and "Final Four soccer team" that.  The nerve!  Give your fans what they really want!

That is strange. Especially after all that research KnightSlappy did to verify the numerous records that Washington U has attained as the BeltTM holder. Records that quite possibly may never be broken. Rodney D got more respect than this.

Happy 1103rd day of BeltTM play!

Well, the pesky Wesleyan's had their shot (twice), but both the Ohio variety and the Illinois variety fell to the heavyweight champions of the world.

The loss by OWU, in their first BeltTM challenge, drops the NCAC to 0-2.

IWU now falls to 0-2 in BeltTM play, with both losses coming to the mighty Washington University in St. Louis Bears. The loss drops the CCIW to 1-5, but fans of the conference needn't worry too much because if they Bears survive their next test, the CCIW will get two cracks at The BeltTM via Wheaton and Augustana.

So the BeltTM will be able to enoy a relaxing Thanksgiving feast in the city in which it's grown accustomed.

Up next for the Bears and The BeltTM will be either Pomona-Pitzer or Whitworth on December 5. I'm sure The BeltTM will be glad for the fresh meat; no team from the SCIAC (Pomona-Pitzer) or NWC (Whitworth) has yet to challenge for The Belt.TM

The BeltTM is going to be in St. Louis so long we'll never get the smell of Budweiser out of it.

Two CCIW contenders get a crack at it this week (albeit in StL).  I'm not at all sure either Wheaton or Augie can pull it off, but getting the BeltTM back to the CCIW would work for me! ;D

Well folks, the Crusading Thunder from Wheaton tried valiantly to pry the BeltTM away from the Wash. U. Bears, but in the end the BeltTM didn't want to leave St. Louis.

The Wheaton loss drops the CCIW to 1-6 all-time in BeltTM contests.

The current Washington U. days held streak (268 days) has passed the 2007 Amherst streak (266 days) to become the second longest streak in the history of the D3 BeltTM (The longest streak is the 2008 Wash U. streak of 281 days that ended nearly one year ago.)

Next up is Augustana, who fell to Washington U. by an 87-82 score last November in their only previous BeltTM challenge. This marks the 100th (WOW!) time that the BeltTM will be contested (and the 25th time Wash U. has been involved.)

So the SLIAC will get their second shot at the BeltTM this season tomorrow when Fontbonne hosts the reigning Heavyweight Champion of D3--Washington University in St. Louis.

The Fontbonne Griffins, in their only BeltTM attempt, fell by eleven points last December to the same Bears. Maybe some home cookin' will help Fontbonne wrestle the belt out of the death grip hold of Washington U.

A win for Wash U. would allow them to surpass last year's streak of 281 days to set a new BeltTM days held record.

The Fontbonne and Wash U campuses directly face each other across Wydown Boulevard. Is it really home cooking when the opponents can smell what's on the stove from their dorm rooms? ;)

Last year's Fontbonne squad went into the championship match with a real chance to gain the belt, and gave the title holder everything they wanted for 35 minutes...  Alas graduation hit the Griffs hard, leaving little optimism that champagne will flow in the Fonbonne locker room tomorrow afternoon....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Would it be considered a road game for the Griffins if it was held at Wash U?

They call it an "across the road" game.

And it is the Wash U dorm rooms on the "South 40" that are across Wydown Boulevard from Fontbonne.

I've posted this before but Google 6800 Wydown Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 for a map.

Notice how the entire Fontbonne campus can fit inside of the "South 40".
