OMG, is this really true?  Is the BeltTM coming to Guilford?
This is so exciting!

I think it passed briefly through our hands once or twice before, but to see it, to hold it...
You lookie, no touchie.

I must say, I didn't know Ed Grimley was a Guilford fan!   :D

My legal team requires me to inform you that looking directly at that BeltTM is not recommended. The radiant glow is far too much for unshielded human retinas to handle. I suggest investing in a welder's shield.

After a lengthy stay in the NCAC, the BeltTM is moving on.  :(  It's now in the capable hands of Tyler Sanborn and his Guilford Quakers, and in one way or another will be in the custody of the ODAC for the rest of the tournament.

First up for the Guilford BeltTM Defense will be a rematch with the Runnin' Royals.  Who would have thought that something as gaudy, bespangled, and outrageously worldly as the BeltTM could cause a bunch of Quakers and Mennonites to forget themselves and do pitched battle.  May the plainest win!

sludge

 :D  That's a terrific observation!

Interesting about custody in the ODAC for rest of tournament - I hope you are right, but it isn't a definite thing yet, right?  Anyway, ODAC will take it to Salem.

This is spectacular.

I suspect David said that because the Final Four is in the custody of the ODAC as well.

Your deduction is correct, Pat, but more importantly...

What on earth are YOU doing in this room?!?  ;)

OMG, the belt is beautiful.  It was delivered and stored in a sort of Ark of the BeltTM.

Pat Coleman

Oh, I read. I made my peace with the concept of the Belt last season sometime. :)

Jeez, I didn't realize Pat was reading.  We better clean this place up.

Collinge, sweep all those spare baubles and gewgaws under the rug. I don't want Pat to trip on one.

Sager, put the leather punch away and get that hot glue gun off the couch! And stop pouting!  I don't care how much you whine we are not going to retroactively award the BeltTM to the 1985 North Park team, and that's final!

sludge, so much for safe-keeping in the Ark of The BeltTM.  I was on campus this morning to pick up some signs to put in Guilford's Salem Hospitality Room this weekend and Nathan (aka the Quaker Man) was strutting around campus in nothing but a SpeedoTM and The BeltTM while drinking something from a brown bottle!  OMG!  He was picking up quite a following as he made the turn from Nathan Hunt Road to George Fox Road!  People are beginning to see The Belt'sTM inner light!

At least we're hanging on to it for a few days here.  ;-)
