SUMMIT!!!!!

The BeltTM will find its way back to St Paul when it counts the most....middle of March
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Well, it all depends. A team can win the Walnut & Bronze and not claim The BeltTM! It all depends on if the current holder of The BeltTM makes their conference tournament. Stranger things have happened!

That was a debate that we had last season as we tried to find the Provenance of The BeltTM.  I believe that The BeltTM "summered" in Texas one season.

Rest assured that when the belt(sorry don't know how to do the TM thing) comes up against NAIA or upper division foes, it is brought out of its case and paraded around the gym just to taunt them.

Then its placed behind their basket for each half on a solid gold stand with a spotlight shining on it.  Its been said opposing players have wept at the ft line realizing such a thing of beauty can never be theirs.

sac, on the second line of options above a message you're composing is "sup" (about in the middle).  Click that, then type TM between the results.

e.g., here is my first official statement of name ownership: Mr. YpsiTM!  (After all, Pat sarcastically called me that, but it was your post that pushed me to actually do it - p. 7 of CCIW bball board, August 2005.) ;))

Then and forever, despite Pat's name change, CCIW Chat! ;D

One always covets most that which they can't have.
"That seems silly and pointless..." - Hoops Fan

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Yes, CCIW Chat was a classic moniker!  I, too, was sorry to see that one go.

The BeltTM changes hands for the 2nd time this season as Puget Sound defeats UW-River Falls 67-64. The BeltTM could hang around the Northwest Conference for a spell. The Loggers 1st defense of The BeltTM will come on the road against Pacific on Dec. 2nd and if they're successful, they will travel with it again to Willamette on Dec. 3rd.

I believe this is the first time The BeltTM has taken up residence in the great Northwest part of the country. It apparently liked the area and wanted to stay more than a couple of days.

If they come back from the Pacific Northwest its looking like the belt will be roaming Wisconsin this year.

Cheese is good so its not all bad.

I think its safe to say The BeltTM  (how 'bout that) will be West of the Mississippi until the D3 tournament.

I really only see a chance to go to Redlands where it would bounce around Southern California, or to Southwestern, Tx where it would rack up the bus miles.

Otherwise The BeltTM will be in the Pacific Northwest this year.

Let's see...

If Puget Sound loses to Pacific on 12/2,
and Pacific loses to Southwestern on 12/21
and Southwestern loses to Whitworth on 12/22
and Whitworth loses to Calvin on 12/29

then The BeltTM could spend the winter in Michigan

:)

Far better for avoiding mold and mildew!  (I'll assume The BeltTM is immune to frostbite! 8-)

But how convenient (think Church Lady) that you plan to recover The BeltTM AFTER the MIAA/CCIW Challenge! ;D

I swear, you guys will come up with ANY scheme to keep The BeltTM from the rightful ownership of my Titans! :D

smedindy

There is one thing that is predictable - the ownership of The BeltTM is unpredictable.
