Claremont-Mudd-Scripps regains The BeltTM as they defeat Cal-Lutheran 57-46.

If CMS defeats Oxy on Friday night, the National Champion will be guaranteed the exhilarating feeling of walking off the Salem Civic Center Court holding The BeltTM up high, for all those assembled to behold.

There can be no other way.

It seems logical The BeltTM should have a cross country journey to its ceremonial home of Salem, Va.  Small children across America will smile with delight on roadsides everywhere as The BeltTM procession slowly passes by.

The Belt is getting passed around so much it's starting to lose its luster.

You misspelled "trademark."

Its impossible for The BeltTM to lose its luster.  It only grows more lustrous with age.

We will soon get to the point where The BeltTM will be too bright for any human eyes to behold. Sunglasses will become mandatory at that point. In a few years the shadow box for viewing solar eclipses will be necessary. In a decade or so it will be an Arc of the Covenant situation where viewing it will melt your face.

I hope to be privileged to view The BeltTM with my own eyes before this takes place. Though dying at the hands of The BeltTM would be an honor.

That was beautiful. *sniff*

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps retains The BeltTM  after a 55-47 win over Occidental.

Pomona-Pitzer gets yet another crack at The BeltTM when they travel to CMS on Monday.  Tonights CMS win guarantees The BeltTM and all its lustrous glory will be in Salem, Va. in just 4 short weeks.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps has defended The BeltTM by defeating Occidental 55-47 Saturday evening. The entire Division 3 world is rejoicing as The BeltTM will now travel cross country and be displayed at the Salem Civic Center to await the destination of it's annual off season vacation home.

First things first however, as the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer, will look to acquire The BeltTM for the 4th time in 41 days. This could quite possibly be a record, for The BeltTM to end up in the hands of one school, on so many occasions, in such a short period of time, and be defended so miserably.

So who will it be that brings forth The BeltTM, in all its wondrous glory, to participate in the Big Dance festivities? The Stags, the Bulldogs, the Poets or the Sagehens? Can any of these teams hold onto The BeltTM for more than one title defense? With their lofty ranking and near perfect record the Stags seem like they are best suited to carry The BeltTM into the Dance hall and hang around for a while. The BeltTM of course, already knows the answers to these questions, but it's not telling, preferring to sit by and let the story unfold as it happens. One thing we do know is that The BeltTM will ultimately end up in the hands of the most deserving team in all of D3 and that is, as it should be.

And there it goes again....

Pomona-Pitzer loses the hyphenated name contest to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 3-2, but wins the basketball game 51-50. Just another lackluster BeltTM defense.

If someone would care to type out this season's BeltTM winners list, I'd sure appreciate it. I can't type that much in one sitting.

Until further notice The BeltTM shall be referred to as The-BeltTM.  On Friday night The-BeltTM will choose between Pomona-Pitzer and Whittier.

I think we've passed 3rd date territory here, so might want to leave the kids at home this time.
