Let's see about Wooster keeping the Belt TM:

vs. Hiram - They're not playing up to potential, but have talent.

vs. Denison - Only three wins, two against dregs but one against Wabash. Still, a 3-14 team on the road? Not bloody likely.

vs. Allegheny - They have Witt before going to Wooster. Gators are competitive but that's not a good road stretch for them.

@ Wabash - This may be THE game for the Belt TM. LG's red hot and have a favorable schedule before Wooster. Scots were the last team to beat Wabash.

@ Hiram - They could upset the Scots at home.

vs. Wittenberg - Wooster handled the Tigers on the road, but this is an intense hoops rivalry.

vs. Ohio Wesleyan - Bishops up and down this year, but recently have won five in a row.

@ Earlham - They say goodbye to the NCAC with a trip to Wooster. How fun!

Then the NCAC tourney, which the Scots would face Kenyon first in the 1/8 game. If things shake out, they could play Witt in the semi-finals and not the finals. That could be...interesting...

So Wooster's claim on the Belt TM until the NCAA's isn't a cupcake walk, but it's not out of the question.

Still not out of the question is the Belt TM going into mothballs until next season. It looks like Earlham and Denison will be the teams left out of the tourney. The most unlikely event is that Wooster loses to Earlham on the final day of the season. One scenario is that Hiram upsets Wooster at Hiram, then holds it until the season finale against Denison. A Denison win would probably mean the Belt TM would be out of circulation during the NCAA tourney.

Wow....

Another successful title defense for the Scots.  The Belt TM is starting to like it's digs up on the hill in the PEC at Wooster!  8-)

Up next for the Scots are two more title defenses at home and if the Scots survive those bouts, they will then again have to take The Belt TM on the road for what should be a most difficult title defense against the Lil Giants of Wabash.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Not much we can do;
Much of our conference is lame.
Should we sked Chapman?

Chapman would be great;
Wooster could lose BeltTM, causing
OxyBob meltdown.

Respectfully, Mr Ypsi...

I don't see how I can get five syllables out of "Southern California".

Now if we use a "Schwarzeneggerian" pronunciation, we can go with

"Cal - ee - for - nee - yah", and wipe out the entire state.

Yeah, not being Ah-nold, I exchanged 'end' for 'destroy'.

I can speak the "su'thun" dialect.  There are two syllabes, anyway that you try to mumble it. ;)
