Point takes the belt back into the NCAA tournament as the defending champ.  They are not going to give it away so someone's got to try and rip it away.

Illegal use of the term Belt TM by Sgt. Paul. Five yards. Repeat the down.

Okay, where do you step off the five yards?  It is five yards from the free throw line to the bucket.   ???

Hey, we'll play River Falls again... but let's have it be in the tournament, not a WIAC tourney championship again...

It will obviously have to be half the distance to the goal

Down goes Frazier! The BeltTM has changed hands. St. Thomas beat UWSP tonight, and the Tommies will defend the BeltTM tomorrow night against either Mary Hardin-Baylor or sectional host Augustana.

...and the BeltTM, like a Democratic lawmaker, won't return to Wisconsin this season.

But perhaps the BeltTM will be 'on ice' up at St. Thomas!

FINAL 2010-11 D-III Championship BeltTM path:

Start-Dec. 3 - UW-Stevens Point
Dec. 4-Feb. 4 - UW-River Falls
Feb. 5-Feb. 8 - UW-Whitewater
Feb. 9-Feb. 15 - UW-Platteville
Feb. 16-Mar. 10 - UW-Stevens Point
Mar. 11-Present - St. Thomas

By far the shortest list we've ever had and certainly the fewest frequent flier miles the BeltTM has ever logged. On the plus side, Pat can visit it throughout the offseason whenever he wants.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Will you use the savings in those travel and security costs to add additional commemorative Baubles and Bling in the off-season?

With only about 4 non-conference games per MIAC team, the belt may be spending next year in Minnesota.

Admittedly, of the MIAC's, St. Thomas is one that seems to have played in many different parts of the country recently or at least ventured out of its own immediate vicinity more.
