6 of the 8 SCIAC schools have held The-BeltTM and wilted under its lustrous glory.   Only La Verne did not get a chance to play for The-BeltTM

And there it goes again....

Pomona-Pitzer loses the hyphenated name contest to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 3-2, but wins the basketball game 51-50. Just another lackluster BeltTM defense.

If someone would care to type out this season's BeltTM winners list, I'd sure appreciate it. I can't type that much in one sitting.

Until further notice The BeltTM shall be referred to as The-BeltTM.  On Friday night The-BeltTM will choose between Pomona-Pitzer and Whittier.

I think we've passed 3rd date territory here, so might want to leave the kids at home this time.

Agreed.  And The-BeltTM appears to have moved beyond Just Bill management, into it's own realm.

If it deigns to fall upon any of us, may we prove worthy.

[It is probably NOT worthy to go 'here, belty, belty' :P]

I just now noticed your signature.  I'm not sure if it's new or I'm just un-observant.  I was a little taken aback since I didn't remember being anti-belt at any point.  I went back 57 pages on this thread to see that indeed, despite my quote, I was not.

Thanks for memorializing my words.  I appreciate it.

I also enjoy this board and can tell you that there was no lackluster defense last night. C-M-S lost hard. I am still trying to recover from just watching the game.
On Saturday, if all goes well, C-M-S will again play P-P for The-BeltTM (no insult intended--I just am not technically capable of doing an upper case TM).
thank you.

Keep your 401(k). Trademark infringement litigation is the sole basis of my retirement plan. Looking good so far. The best part is I pay my legal team with nothing but field mice.

Are you threatening me (a mother!) with that animal thing?

I just want Claremont to hold onto that Magical Mystical Championship The-BeltTM. For just one month, or even two weeks.

On Saturday, if things work out as expected, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps will play Pomona-Pitzer in a historic battle for The-BeltTM. I am almost catatonic with the tension. If they win, I will send you a picture of the team holding the belt.  If they loose,.....
And yes--that animal is very effective.

Pomona-Pitzer 60 Whittier 53

P-P will carry The-BeltTM across the street for their game with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Saturday evening.  The winner will carry The-BeltTM into the NCAA tournament as the SCIAC representative.
