I can't listen to the USTREAM of Hoopsville last night but am very interested.   I am an Albertus alumni/player/fan and would liek to know what the St Joe's coach discussed on hoopsville, is there anything on youtube?  I would be curious as to his thoughts on the matchup?

Bring up Hoopsville on the site and you can click along to find the interview to what you want to listen to.

The St. Joe coach talked about his team, how excited they were to be in the tournament. He talked about his seniors (he has 7 of them); they are experienced and this is their first tournament. They live and die by the three; that is their game. They are going to try to play their game. He admitted that he didn't know too much about Albertus, other than that they have a star (Askew) and Mitch is a good coach. He will look at film and the kids are excited and ready. They feel as if they can compete if they play their game.

cool, thx pjunit!!!    I played a LONG time ago, before the GNAC, from 1991 to 1993.  i don't know justin morris, i hope they win.   I heard st Joe's has alot of seniors becuase they are all transfers!!  from D2 schools and other d3schools     hope they don;t hit their 3's!!   albertus should take the game to them regardless!!  play their game, it has worked all year against some good teams, especially Western so we will see, st Joe's beat ECONN pretty good I think!!

pjunito

OK, I thought maybe you were Justin's uncle or something Mr. Morris....

St. Joe's did beat ECSU early this year. The game was tight with 8 mins left and then St. joe's hit a few threes to pull away and Nedwick had a  rare poor shooting performance. St. joe's is small; they are outrebound by an average of 12 per game. Askew averages 11 free throws a game. Albertus does like to run and push the ball. This should be a game that they will enjoy playing in.

I think Just Bill is just making a comical remark about how your topic and subsequent conversation doesn't quite fit the lustrous contents of this thread.  +k anyway

The total randomness of it actually fits in quite well.

Just as random as a race car hitting a jet dryer...

There's something startling about encountering an actual basketball conversation in this room. It's like walking into a church sanctuary and finding the entire congregation making armpit noises.

Now you've done it.  There's got to be a youtube video of this somewhere and someone from this board will definitely find and post it.

Apparently not everything has made the internet yet.  :-\

Actual basketball (though non D-1) post: I think even The-BeltTM would lose its luster watching tonight's Minnesota / Wisconsin game. Slog city, baby.

I think that the thread was locked.  I remember the "hourglass" almost converging.

... which means that, once Pat finds out that we've unlocked his locked thread, we're all going to be put on double secret probation.

Luckily Pat hates the belt thread so much he refuses to acknowledge it exists.

This isn't true. I've posted here before. And even without mocking.

You're ruining the meme, Pat. For five years this room has thrived on the notion that you're Principal Skinner and Just Bill is Bart Simpson.
