The BeltTM has never been held by a Texas team.  Well, we Texans are waiting for itTM.

You ain't gonna win the belt The BeltTM by playin' UT-Permian Basin and Huston-Tillotson.

Fixed it for you. We wouldn't want Just Bill to have to call out the weasels on the Guru.

It was Mary Hardin-Baylor that carried The BeltTM from the appropriately name Belton, Texas to Atlanta a couple years ago.  Along with some beer and a pregnant elephant.....and Dom Deluise.

I'm sure you were at the barbeque it got pretty crazy.

... and now ItTM is the world's blingiest collar as the Pointers trot, tails head high, back to Wisconsin after winning Best in Show in Salem.

The BeltTM apparently did not take kindly to GreyTM GiovanineTM repeatedly wearing ItTM for the opening tipoff, then angrily removing and chucking ItTM three rows deep into the crowd at the first moment that piqued his ire.

Coach Giovanine is well-known for flinging his sports coat into the bleachers when things don't go as he wished.  But he is NOT crazy!  Even he would never risk 'chucking' The BeltTM.  He (and The BeltTM) demand a retraction of these scurrilous allegations, at risk of meeting up with The WeaselsTM.  (And, Kiko, you do NOT want to confront The WeaselsTM. :o)

ItTM started the season in Wisconsin and ItTM finishes the season in Wisconsin. The BeltTM might need a belt of ItsTM own if ItTM keeps spending the summers eating deep fried cheese and brats.

Congratulations to this years BeltTM holders from Stevens Point.  I was searching for something witty to say but for some reason all my beltTm and Wisconsin search references turned up links to Pink Floyd songs.  I gave up early if I'm honest.

I suspect our resident Pointer brothers John Gleich and OldSchool will likely have a BeltTm meet and greet lined up at the Hilltop Bar not far from campus very soon.

Looking back on this season The BeltTm didn't stray too far from last summers home in Whitewater and  wound through The Greatest Conference in AmericaTM a little before settling on a location near its apparent preferred summer home in Wisconsin.  This was probably the fewest miles we've put on The BeltTm since the great Swedish Bikini Ski Team incident of the late 90'sTM

2014-2015 Thee Most Exalted Bespangled CinctureTM itinerary
3-22-14  UW-Whitewater
12-10-15  Augustana
1-21-15  Illinois Wesleyan
1-24-15  Elmhurst
1-28-15  Augustana
1-31-15  North Park
2-11-15  Elmhurst
2-21-15  Illinois Wesleyan
2-28-15  Augustana
3-21-15  UW-Stevens Point

Before we know it the leaves will change, the harvest will come in and the days will grow shorter and darker and only the echo's of balls bouncing off wood floors will lift our collective spirits and it will be BeltTm time again.
