Unless a 3 win team (Hanover, Messiah, or Beloit) can take down the #4 ranked Dutchmen, the Belt will be touring the great state of Michigan for the months of January and February (with stops in Angola, IN)

Have we ever talked about jinxes in here, I don't think we have.  Don't temp The BeltTm

I'm confident in the 94 pages of this thread, there is absolutely nothing we haven't talked about.

Hope hangs on to The BeltTm after another razor close overtime victory over Hanover.

True story, this made a baby cry last week.

With the win Hope will get another chance to gloriously flaunt that most magnificent of objectsTm in front of the non-D3 Grace Bible TigersTm tonight before packing that thingTm up in its crate and taking it South to Florida.  Which I'm sure is the first time The BeltTM will be making a trip to the Sunshine StateTm.

Hope will play Messiah and Beloit.  The thought of The BeltTm and the messiah sharing the same floor is quite terrifying.

Did you feel the ground rumbling beneath your feet last night?

The BeltTm remains in good hands as Hope overcomes MessiahTM down in Florida by a score that has been reported three different ways.  Take my word for it Hope won.

So today The BeltTm will choose between spending January and February floating around the MIAA with Hope or with Beloit in the MWC.  I know which way I'd go but I can't make these kinds of executivetm decisions.

The remainder of this regular season The BeltTm has chosen to spend the El Nino Winter in Pure MichiganTm and possibly Angola, Michigan Indiana.  Hope beat Beloit last night 86-66 to finish its week in Florida.

First crack at The BeltTm comes on Jan 6. to Albion, because of course it does.

In BeltTm history news, this is the first time in 9 seasons The BeltTm has not exchanged hands in the month of December.  I'm sorry this is so boring and frankly I kind of hope it remains boring....very, very boring.

It's quite pathetic that as i was exiting the stadium, one of my first thoughts was how glad I was that I wouldn't have to hear about how I was the jinx.
Let's go Dutchmen!

This looks like Buzz Lightyear dressed up in some sort of Medieval Man Halloween costume...

Evidence suggests that Clyde is actually a rip off from Grand Ledge H.S.'s Winke.

1. If the mascot's name is Winke, why isn't he winking? After all, the logo version winks.
2. Comets wink? I know that stars twinkle, but ... perhaps comets have more of a come-hither thing going on among stellar phenomena.
3. How does Winke stay upright with all the weight in that costume presumably positioned behind his head?
4. Is Winke poised to jump in that photo, or is it a matter of the costume simply being too heavy for him to stand upright?

OK, that's more thought that I've given to a mascot's costume than I have in years.

Maybe it's not a costume.  :o :o ;D ;D

Winke's got the mullet to end all mullets. Clyde by comparison is totally in touch with his inner Danny Zuko.

Hope 79  Olivet 64

The BeltTm can't hear anything you say to it, but it did survive its trip to rural Eaton County and the assault on the ears.  Hope made quick work of the Comets.  Sadly Clyde the Comet was nowhere to be found and who can blame him with the score somewhere around 41-12.

The BeltTm  will likely be filing for an herbal remedies card to deal with the likely PTSD it has suffered from this traumatic assault on the ears.

Strong The BeltTm test next Wednesday as Hope travels to Alma to take on the Scots.

There seems to be a couple versions of the Scots mascot and both will probably encourage a weird thought or two.....
This is definitely a drawing,  Scotty? I guess
This just creeps me out
This is clearly............
.....former NHL and Calgary Flames star Lanny McDonald in retirement.

Alma's a pretty rough place, here's a whole roomful of Alpha Xi Delta's throwing up gang symbols and wearing anchors on their orange and blue shirts.......should I tell them about their rivals schools colors and logo?

Right now Vegas is putting the odds on the home Scots to take The BeltTm, the only question is does it go over or under the kilt.  That folks is something I don't want to know.
