A true tooth and nail battle for The Belt^Tm.  Hope and The Belt^Tm return home Saturday to host the Adrian Bulldogs.  It was a close one last time.

This title fight was over on the scorecard pretty early but both fighters put on a good show for the pay per view audience.  The result though was never in doubt.


The Belt^Tm and the Dutchmen head to Kalamazoo on Wednesday night.  For those who root for such preposterous things as The Belt^Tm not making it to Salem you actually have potentially two chances for that to happen next week if results go the right-wrong way.

The thing is, if Kalamazoo somehow pulled off the extreme upset, they'd probably lose it right back to Adrian and we'd all be disappointed! Kalamazoo would be a "transitional champion"

Before post-season play begins, with the unthinkable tragedy of Hope losing before the conference tournament, The Belt^Tm can end up in the hands of Kalamazoo, Adrian or Calvin and there is no guarantee Adrian or Calvin make the MIAA tournament at this point.

Spending a summer in Michigan would be wonderful for The Belt^Tm, though I certainly prefer the more traditional way of It^Tm doing so

I like Holland, The Belt^Tm likes Holland.  The Belt^Tm also likes the NCAA Tournament and will be there, baubles, geegaws and sporan shined and ready for its journey to the Super 8 Motel in Roanoke, Virginia.


The Belt's^Tm first post-season title tilt will be next Friday at DeVos Fieldhouse in the prestigious MIAA Tournament, fitting its the 25th annual tournament.
