I like Holland, The BeltTm likes Holland.  The BeltTm also likes the NCAA Tournament and will be there, baubles, geegaws and sporan shined and ready for its journey to the Super 8 Motel in Roanoke, Virginia.

The Belt'sTm first post-season title tilt will be next Friday at DeVos Fieldhouse in the prestigious MIAA Tournament, fitting its the 25th annual tournament.

"Storm" up a creek

Memo to The BeltTM: the Comfort Inn in Salem is MUCH nicer, and only 4-5 blocks from the Salem Civic Center. ;D

They also include a quite good breakfast, unless you are looking to tighten the belt on The BeltTM.  (Just kidding, your exultancy, but you probably do get tempted with awfully fattening extravaganzas.)

Has the HolderTM at the end of the regular season ever successfully defended throughout the postseason?

Lets casually change the subject shall we.......

With that the Thunder capture The BeltTm after 3 tries.  They'll take the Alma Scots on Saturday in front of about 2500 or more empty seats at DeVos Fieldhouse.  Winner carries The BeltTm into the NCAA Tournament.

This one's for DaveCollinge, straight from Hope's campus student center

PS as a Hope fan it was a lot of fun to have The BeltTm at Hope so much this year.  Hope to see it Holland again sometime.

PS  also gratifying we didn't lose it to Calvin. :)

Trine, the definition of a transitional champion, loses to Alma tonight.

... and, once again, The SporranTM takes its place at the front of The BeltTM.

Alma 62  Trine 54

That's right folks, Alma!!! will be carrying The BeltTm into the NCAA Tournament.  Looks like Trine is the first one day holder of the The BeltTm since Augsburg in 2013.

The Scots of Alma won both of their first two NCAA tournament games and will continue to possess The BeltTm into the Sweet 16.  Alma will take on St. Norbert in a rematch of a December game that had no The BeltTm implications whatsoever at the time.

Alma continues to hold The BeltTm and will play Benedictine for the honor of lugging it to Salem.

Google thinks this is the Benedictine mascot

......that is a Raven from the other Benedictine in Kansas, which is also news to me.

This is actually the Benedictine mascot, an apparently wayward Eagle

Google also gave me this tonight, so Google might be drunk......

That is a well placed belt buckle ...........did I say that out loud?

Inspired by the presence of The BeltTM  the Benedictine Ravens Eagles shoot 1042% from the 3 point line to capture the most sought after accessory in the history of mankind.  They'll carry that puppy all the way to Salem, Va.

The BeltTm spent what will be all but two weeks of this season floating around the great State of Michigan and this nations oldest athletics conference between Hope and Alma with a brief over night'er in the hands of our Trine friends from Angola, Indiana.  Until we meet again oh great one, thanks for spending the Winter with us.

The Benedictine Eagles take hold of The BeltTM for the first time in their history and will parade ItTM in all the pomp and circumstance The BeltTM deserves when they march into the Salem Civic Center next weekend.

Is this the first time that The BeltTM has been placed into the hands of a NACC team?
