So, I decided not to go.  Guess what?  Wesley wins the belt on a buzzer beater 3 from sophomore Brian Cameron.  I very much regret staying home.  But the Belt lives in Delaware!

The possibility that the BeltTM could actually not make the tournament. If Wesley loses to Salisbury on 2/14, Salisbury would play Southern Virginia on 2/17. If So.VA happens to upset Salisbury, the BeltTM would spend the off-season in Buena Vista, VA.

Salisbury did beat Wesley 84-68 in mid-January. Salisbury also beat Southern Virginia on the road, but only 83-75.

For the Belt:

Those screams are those who made the terrible mistake of looking directly into the aura of The BeltTm without the proper protection, may the lord have mercy upon them.

Drama!

Wesley hosts the Salisbury Gulls on Wed.  The Gulls are getting a second crack at The BeltTm

Shoutout to Ryan who gave The BeltTm a real world twitter shoutout.  Being twitter I'm not sure its really the real world but we'll go with it.

I wanted to make sure the Wesley team was aware of the Belt, because they seem like the kind of program who would embrace it, especially without much to play for down the stretch.  Good young team, though, they've got a future.

As for going to the off-season early, the The Diva BeltTM has not gone to The Dance several years.

Her "avoiding" or "not-going" or "not receiving an invitation" has enough intrigue for her on reality show on Cable or YouTube.

In fairness, The Diva Dream ScenarioTM hasn't happened since 2005. Too much Thomas More/Amherst dominance, among other things.

This would be magic. Can you imagine how entertaining it would be if this Dream ScenarioTM came true and The BeltTM spent the Final Four weekend not in Salem, but on the SVU campus in Buena Vista, which is only a 55-mile drive north of Salem on I-81? That's close enough for the Final Four teams to look out of the windows of their hotel rooms and longingly view the gleaming rays emanating from Thee Most Exalted CinctureTM silhouetting the Blue Ridge Mountains off in the distance.

That wouldn't simply be the Dream ScenarioTM finally coming to pass. We, the loyal followers of The BeltTM, would achieve BeltvanaTM.

55 miles is far enough away to avoid face-melting without proper safety gear, right?
