I have been very neglectful of my BeltTM duties this year. Of course, there hasn't been much to do. Thanks to all of you who continue to update the great, unwashed masses.

Prarie Wolves defend for the  13th(?) time going back to last March.

Saturday the Plainsmen host the Duhawks of Loras.  I'm sure this is the one everyone has been waiting for.

Dewey the Duhawk

This brings up a decent childhood memory when for the Bicentennial my hometown decided it would be a great idea to let the townfolk paint the fire hydrants in patriotic colors.  It was.....  interesting.

Wed NWU travel to Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa which is a pretty sweet name for a town in Iowa.  Simpson doesn't have a mascot other than the vague "storm" but their logo marketing suggests they're trying to trick the people of the corn that they're USC.

Or fazed...

True.  They don't seem to be bothered or show any signs at all of becoming liquid or gas.

NWU had 2 losses by Jan 10 last year, they had one loss, in overtime at Simpson the rest of the season.  They've now won 27 straight games and come midnight today they'll have gone a calendar year with a 33-1 record.

Wartburg travels to Lincoln on Saturday.  They are the Knights.

They're just toying with teams now making them think they have a shot at The BeltTM only to laugh maniacally at the end ...."nope"

NWU host Luther on Saturday, they are the Norse and don't appear to have a mascot so here's a pic of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Luther came within 52 of beating NWU in Lincoln last year.  So yeah.

Greek Tragedy

Does Luther have any baby-faced assassins or are they all on Nebraska Wesleyan?

But they were a Stealth Era Dream ScenarioTM BeltTM Holder in 1980, so there's that. And I only remember that because I went back to catch up on the map. We are up to date; only really new thing was adding in all of NWU's games since late November. I did get to add a few new schools to the map though, bringing us to 207 venues where The BeltTM has either been contended for or a BeltTM Holder has resided.

This is a good year to deal with BeltTM archival and housekeeping issues.

It's been easy to keep the list updated.  I haven't touched it since March.
