Indiana HS basketball does this. It's completely meaningless and not many people know about it, but it is neat.

This is a good year to deal with BeltTM archival and housekeeping issues.

Is this letting the BeltTM out a notch because of the dearth of newsTM, or tightening it because things will be more buttoned up administratively?

Neb. Wesleyan 94  Luther 61

Luther closed the gap 18 points this year, good on you Luther dudes.

Rare Monday night Belttm tilt in prime time when Dubuque travels to Lincoln.  Dubuque is the Spartans, I can only assume its Sparty.

Whenever I hear someone say Dubuque I see this guy and it makes me chuckle.

Yeah, I saw that and was going to ask if this traveling trophy possessed the supernatural powers and legal backing of The BeltTM because my assumption is no.

It's an Easy Bake Oven compared to the Belt'sTM Viking stove.

That's title defense number.......alot.  Saturday NWU travels to Loras and even though there are some theoretical minefields ahead for NWU, this kind of feels like "it", ya know.  Also they can open up a 3 game lead in that American Rivers thingy.  Maybe we should keep track of the number of river crossings The BeltTm makes this year.  See if this American Rivers Conference holds water.  (ba dum bum)

Loras is also in Dubuque, like Dubuque.  So they hosted a team from Dubuque today and will travel to Dubuque on Saturday.  There seems like a more efficient way to play games vs schools from Dubuque.  Maybe throw in Clarke and Emmaus, also in Dubuque and make it a four day weekend.

Since nothing else is happening here I thought it might be cool to take a look at what might be the best named football stadium in all of D3.

Loras College's Bierie Field, otherwise known as The Rock Bowl.

To be accurate with regard to who actually enjoys success in that facility, the Rock Bowl is really a soccer stadium where Loras also plays football.

Well, well, well

Loras 84 Neb. Wesleyan 76

For the first time in nearly 10 months The BeltTm has a new home.  Lets see who the Duhawks play Wednesday night.

Me:  Its Dubuque right?

Also me:  It is Dubuque.

Me:  In Dubuque?

Also me:  Because both schools are in Dubuque.

Me:     HAHAHAHAHA  Dubuque, Dubuque, Dubuque, Dubuque, Dubuque.

If I counted correctly, it was 19 successful title defenses for the Prairie Wolves. I don't know if that's a record or not, but I feel like it has to be, at least in the modern era.

Loras gains possession of The BeltTM for the first time in the modern era; they'd previously been a Stealth EraTM holder in the 1987-88 season. Map is once again up to date.
