That's three years in a row the team bringing It^TM to the Dance has lost during the opening weekend. Weird, considering how the few years before that the teams blessed with possession of The Belt^TM had carried it fairly deep.

I'm just sad; with North Central losing tonight I lost out on an opportunity to announce two more Belt^TM matches. Alas.

And so The Belt^TM is on its way back to Summit & Cretin in St Paul.... i think it has spent as much time there over the past 8+ seasons as it has anywhere. Coach Tauer will dutifully hand the sacred relic to retiring AD Fritz. The former coach, wearing white gloves as he solemnly lifts the Belt^TM  much like a chalice of consecrated wine, will address the Belt^TM  simply: "Welcome home. You are now where you belong" as the Tommie player cheer loudly and pledge to keep The Belt^TM  in St Paul forever.

It's been a couple years, but yeah, St. Thomas has a pretty extensive history with The Belt^TM. But it's their first time holding It^TM in a couple years.

Meanwhile, The Belt^TM returns to Oshkosh for the first time since 2014, when Oshkosh lost to then-Belt^TM holder Whitewater. The Titans have been in possession before, but all were in the Stealth Era, including being Stealth Era Dream Scenario^TM Holders in 1991.

Map is updated; I also threw Fort Wayne on there for next weekend. Only real changes I'll need to make will be if someone other than St. Thomas takes The Belt^TM to Fort Wayne.

Dubuque. Loras is from Dubuque Iowa. Dubuque is located in eastern Iowa right beside the Mississippi River and across from the small town of East Dubuque, Illinois. Loras appears to be pretty centrally located in Dubuque. Dubuque is about equidistant from Des Moines and Chicago.
