Well, Lucas, I am your witness that it actually existed here.

Mordecai Brown could probably count on one hand the number of active D3 coaches who could plausibly WEAR the BeltTM without suffering consequences from more powerful forces.  The Serbian Prince would be one of them.

I would figure The BeltTM would use ItsTM supernatural powers to fit the waist of whoever it deems worthy to bless with ItsTM presence, but I wouldn't know for sure. I spent all of two hours in ItsTM presence like a week ago and just like that... it was gone.

Finlandia gets the next shot at itTM... what a story that would be if the Lions get their first win since January of 2018 and take The BeltTM in the process.

Even moreso because they've been historically bad so far this year.

Weird little BeltTM quirk this season...

After edging Finlandia by 58, Carthage's next game was against Rose-Hulman.  The Red. Men. engineered a victory, but irrespective of the outcome, North Central was going to get another shot at the bling.

Rose-Hulman's next game was in Naperville, where they are currently losing by roughly .45 Finlandias.  Carthage's next game after Rose-Hulman is against those same Cardinals.  Sadly for Lucas, this one is in Kenosha, and if the Cardinals manage to end the greatest two weeks of Bosco's coaching career, they would have to run the table in December before he would get to see the BeltTM in all of its bespangled glory, as North Central's next home game after meeting Carthage is in January.

"The greatest two weeks" of his coaching career? Need I remind you that Bosko (with a 'k', not a 'c'; he's not a chocolate drink) has had his mitts on The BeltTM on at least two occasions in the past, as per our back-dating research from a couple of years ago, when the Serbian Prince was the head coach at North Park and the Vikings won two national championships?

Remember, The BeltTM is not held prisoner by the space-time continuum like the rest of us, but was retroactively present before Just Bill started this board.

Well sure, the BeltTM is timeless, but can we be sure Bosko knew just how much glory he was in the presence of during that time?  The BeltTM is otherworldly, but Bosko is merely Serbian royalty.  (Although perhaps North Park elected to build a stage into the Crackerbox blueprints so they could properly display the BeltTM... it is all starting to make sense now.)

And remember... the best championship is the next championship.  By that logic, this early-season CCIW matchup with North Central represents the pinnacle of Bosko's coaching career.

If only. Half the reason why us NPU types want to win back The BeltTM is so that we can leave ItTM unshielded on the stage overnight in order to reduce that %$*&^! stage to rubble.

Bosko's got five national championship rings tucked away in his sock drawer, so I think I'll leave it to him to decide which championship is the best championship.

Assuming that is true, then I guess The BeltTM was not impressed with the way Bosko treats his bling, albeit significantly lesser bling than ItselfTM

Actually, I don't know where he keeps them. He doesn't wear them, though.

It's just fun to speculate that he keeps them in his sock drawer. Perhaps it's because the term "sock drawer" is strangely amusing.

I can dream, right? There's also the matter of if North Central gets possession of The BeltTM during the long home game drought I may sneak over to Merner and see if I can get a day with ItTM like NHL players do with the Stanley Cup. Maybe It'llTM help my daughter sleep at night. :)

Besides, as long as we make it to 2020 with The BeltTM still firmly in CCIW hands I may get other cracks at announcing another BeltTM game.

I still have to update the map for this season yet. Hopefully I can do that this week.
