Also, for those of you scoring at home, the chances of The Dream ScenarioTM are fairly slim. If the Cardinals win at Carroll on Saturday, The BeltTM is guaranteed to go to the CCIW, and thus NCAA Tournament, where that lesser wood and metal object is up for grabs.

I have to check exact tiebreaker scenarios to see if Carroll could make the CCIW Tournament at 7-9, which would be one possibility if tiebreakers go against the Pioneers. The other is for Carroll to beat NCC to take possession on Saturday, beat Elmhurst a week from tonight, then lose ItTM to Millikin the final night of the regular season.

Spending the summer in Decatur just sounds..... awful.

He probably caught a gewgaw or a bauble from ItTM on his sportcoat, which meant that The BeltTM would've gone flying along with the sportcoat when Giovanine enacted his game-night ritual of flinging his outer apparel hither and yon during whichever first-half moment of Augustana downturn required the extra visual punctuation.

The sportcoat was not on long last night.  And if a bauble or geegaw got caught in it, well... that thingTM could put an eye out pretty easily.

The BeltTM already did that.  Way back in 1979.

Yes, but that was during the Stealth Era. We didn't know. :P

The BeltTM has probably blocked all memory of that summer anyway.

I have found an error that changes the path of The Belt TM in this thread's recorded history back in the stealth era.

It's previously been reported:
1980
Millikin
Carthage
Beloit
Monmouth
Cornell
Luther
Dubuque
Simpson
Wartburg
Buena Vista
Upper Iowa
Wartburg
Central
Luther (non-champion)
1981
Luther
Augustana
North Park
Augustana
Potsdam State

The error I've found was The BeltTM travelling from Monmouth to Cornell.  The reason it was recorded this way is because Monmouth reported losing to Cornell in the NCAA archives (game 14).  However, this is incorrect.  You'll notice that the reported score is the same as Game #5.

Cornell itself reported that Monmouth won the second game 90-82.  This matches what Monmouth has in the archives on their website and the report in Monmouth's student newspaper.

So now, thecorrected path of The Belt TM would be
1980
Millikin
Carthage
Beloit
Monmouth
Ripon
North Park
1981
North Park
Millikin
Illinois Wesleyan
Augustana
North Park
Augustana
Potsdam State

Yay! We had The BeltTM on campus throughout the summer after my freshman year!

(And nobody knew about it.)

OMG.  Is The BeltTM that shy, or are you all that oblivious to greatness?! :o

Hey, you read what the man said. It was the Stealth Era. The BeltTM likely was encased in faceted carbon composite with LPOI active-emitter radar, radar-warning receivers, and infrared baffles. ItTM was practically invisible.

It wasn't until Just Bill came along that the decision was made for The BeltTM to cease hiding ItsTM light under a bushel, so to speak.

Looks like I have to update The MapTM. Shouldn't be too bad though; looks like adding one school and removing a bunch of others.

More likely ItTM was camped out at Charcoal Delights for the summer, and, by November, had to let a notch out of itselfTM.
